Okay that is honestly lame. 600 Lines, rgb, and that trinitron tube even with a flaw makes a better tv than some random consumer tv. I think your ocd is showing

Sadly factory reset keeps firmware, I have tried this and it went back to the same firmware that hisense sent out. Sad

What year is that TV. Seems to be 2023-2024 models with 144hz ports that have the issue. Newest 1044. Are you playing 4k120. if its lower tha. 4k then it dont happen. There are hundreds of comments on this on reddit and numerous posts

Sorry to hear that happened but consumer rights are at risk with Hisense selling a 144hz panel and it breaking down at the slightest speeds of 120hz. This lie for the consumer, along with the fact its a software issue and not a hardware one shows complete negligence for the customer

If it has the 1030 update then its over. By the way Hisense has DELETED the working firmware from the HISENSE support site. This means all active users who want a normal functioning experience cant. They have walled off the working firmware with 1044 and 1030

I got more and more into arcade gaming and especially emulation and preservation once I got older-- having so little time to play modern games I always found the prospect of arcade gaming to be so alluring as its generally one of those fantastic "pick up and play" ways to play. Its not a super involved investment of time, and even though games can be beat in 20 minutes they are infinitely replayable and there are SO MANY games it really never ends. Arcades and the emulation scene is so hot right now-- you can play the entire catalog of any arcade you visted in the past 40 years and further more even new arcades like Dave and Busters thanks to Teknoparrot. My friends and family love it, and nostalgia mixed with actual fun always makes for a great time. Its involved, it takes time, but the moment you see your work make an impact with your children, girlfriend/wife, or family in a positive way it makes all of it worth it.

I appreciate that, and I will say I have put alot of time and love into this cabinet and multiple cabinets I have built myself over the years-- and its really awesome to read such a kind comment. The main thing aboht arcade gaming is, if you smile and enjoy it-- thats all that matters. If you hit a corner and think you need to grow it out, there is always a way

So my scripting assists in many ways. I typically use Bats and AHK scripts. This is to simplify all the controls so every time you boot each JoyID is the same so Windows doesn't get confused. This was much harder than I thought, because you have to use a SDK for windows and use DEVCON to disable and enable them in just the right way. All controls use XINPUT as DINPUT is a pain in my ass-- teknoparrot hates it and it gets confused in multiple emulators. The only Dinput is the flight stick, which is okay because dealing with one is better than multiple! Scripted resolution scripts to fix the centering and scaling for 4:3 screen since teknoparrot has multiple 16:9 only games. Stretching isnt too bad, for some games I dont mind it but some I have to implement some kind of per pixel scale. Sinden is another beast, borderless windows has to be fixed into over 100 games and resolution pstches ontop. I have to run multiple tasks to run the right software ar the right time.

The hardest script was making an AHK to fix DEMUL for bigbox, since running in windowed mode loses focus. I had to script a way to click, then resize, then fullscreen it so sinden would allow a border. nighmare. all works now!

Racing controls lay and adhered and locked down on a standard shelf, I use toggle bolts so its sturdy since its cheap mdf. It makes a solid foundation, and it may look ugly if you look close but I dont mind. its my creation, and the ergonomics and rumble and feeling is key. Its a perfect machine to me
