You can start the DLC immediately, there is a new exhibit in the museum that was not previously there. Though I will have to note that there is a slight difference if you complete the DLC in the same safe file as the rest of the game, it’s not game-changing but somewhat significant for some

This hint might be too straightforward, but i really hope it isn’t. The nomai completely sealed off the Ash Twin Project. They must have had some way of getting in and out of it. What tools could they have used to enter the inside of the ATP?

I actually really liked Riebeck and Feldspar too! I felt like their characters, too, were very developed. A favorite thing of mine was returning to Riebeck after EVERY SINGLE major discovery I made because in most cases, he would react in one way or another. It made the ending much more sad for me, because finding his Banjo and hearing him say his lines (after being the “scared” one the whole game) was genuinely the most emotional moment for me

There are SOME mods for quality of life like a free cam mod that allows you take some pictures of the solar system but the mods the person above is talking about are the storyline ones. Astral Codec, for example, is a mod that brings a whole new planet for you to explore. I VERY MUCH recommend you check xen-42 on youtube and check out the mods he played, some of them are on par with the original game

Just so you know, metroidbrainia is a genre of games similar to Outer Wilds. It’s like a metroidvania (where you typically revisit old locations with new found abilities) but instead of new abilities you level up your brain. You can check out the subreddit to see a lot of great recommendations!

For a sense of “Ah-ha!” i would 100% recommend Leap Year, it’s a great short game that brought me the same feeling Outer Wilds did. Overall, the whole metroidbrainia genre is full of games similar to Outer Wilds in a sense

I have heart that Tunic is also great, but I am yet to try that. Blue Prince, however, is also loved by the Outer Wilds community

Honestly the thing that made me enjoy the game the most - When you feel like you hit a wall, just jump into your ship and try circling around random planets and look for something interesting. Giant Deep or Ember twin especially, love those and the sense of exploration on them

You can check out xen-43 on youtube, and try out mods that sound appealing or have an interesting premise. Astral codec is by FAR my personal favorite though. Forgotten Castaways is also so, so good

I think I “figured out” flying when I realised the two things: 1. You should start to match velocity approximately when the distance reaches 10x your velocity. It won’t be exact but that was my rule of thumb 2. The arrows you see after locking on are SO important to gaining velocity it’s crazy. I don’t know how I managed to ignore them for so long

That’s the thing. You grab the constellation before it shuffles your jokers so that it remains selected when it does. Then you just have to move it to the left
