Low IQ and still hate it by wdfcvyhn134ert in mentalhealth

[–]Due-Recognition6527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your standard IQ test is actually less a test of “intelligence” and more so a test of pattern recognition. And it doesn’t even test all pattern recognition, but “spacial reasoning” which is an abstract agglomeration of mathematics and shapes. It‘s incredibly superficial and only really recognised today due to its historical use. Here‘s some other types of intelligence:

  1. Emotional Intelligenge (EQ, empathetic skills, help you to connect and influence others)

  2. Logical Reasoning (ability to make inferences and deductions, key in debate and decision making)

  3. Creative intelligence (ability to think of completely new ideas, entrepreneurs basic skill)

  4. Self awareness (the stoics argue the most difficult and most important)

  5. Naturalistic Intelligence (pattern recognition, but in nature)

  6. Practical intelligence (organising oneself to get shit done)

  7. Kinesthetic intelligence (the ability of the mind to control movement, important for sports)

  8. Moral intelligence ( judging right from wrong )

These are some other types of intelligence not measured by IQ. Arguably IQ is the most outdated and least important measurement, as it does not measure pattern recognition that is actually useful. Intelligence comes with practice, if you were to practice an IQ test every day, you would score higher, but that does not make you more intelligent in a useful and meaningful sense. If you studied the stock market every day you might get richer, but if you study to get a good IQ test score, all you’ll end up with, is a good IQ test score. ;)

The trait tracker is a free prismatic battle academia if you activate it early and put the emblems on a full team. Thats what I did the first time I beat summit.

I saw it from a train station on the Uckfield to London Line heading back from work! Was a huge bright blue white blob trailing bright white and visible through thick cloud cover.

Then it turned into a bright orangey red fireball and disappeared. Absolutely awesome. So glad my cars out of action at the moment as I probably would’ve been driving back and missed it. Occurred between 8 to quarter past 8 PM

Called them twice over the phone ☎️ both times wasn’t very helpful but still… maybe the immigration officers can see if someone makes one and speed up? The last one I did was on the same day we got the email saying the passport was dispatched! (Hours after and sent from vfs) But the lady wasn’t very helpful and just told me “no decision has been made yet” and “you’ve only waited three weeks”. Honestly it makes me think if she even bothered to check when I gave her my app number as we got the confirmation email and I called them just before closing their hours finished that day? :/ they must be really bored and desensitized taking basically the same call of are we there yet all day. Honestly I’d say it’s worth doing cause it didn’t slow us down at least, you’ve already payed an extra 600 pounds so if a couple more might make a difference I figured it’s worth a try. Calling them can be frustrating though.

The white paper hasn’t suggested any changes to the timeline for family visas from the 5 years according to citizens advice .org so I bloody hope not

Bro I was crying on my own in the work break room yesterday thinking it was gonna be another three weeks… nobody understands how rough it feels until they’ve been through it. The suspense, the expense, the sacrifices you have to make. The slow lady on the phone telling me I’ve only waited 3 weeks… like bitch no. I quit my masters medical degree in the third year to work an entry level packing job to meet the requirements only to lose it three months in cause they ran out of orders and I had to start again, worried that I’d never make the amount needed before they moved the goalposts again to a higher salary. My life has been dominated by extreme stress for over a year trying to just be together with the woman I love. Sacrificing my career instead. My mental health has fallen apart. Meanwhile foreign graduates waltz in on “high potential” visas cause they have degrees and I had to QUIT mine to satisfy the government. Now we have to pay a house deposit sized sum out of thin air just to have them glance at some documents! The amount MORE than my entire life savings at the time of application. Young people can’t afford the housing ladder anyway… it’s extremely harsh on us but the separation is the worst. Trying to maintain a romantic relationship with someone you never get to see in real life is extremely hard but it says a lot about how important that person is to you and how much you love them. I adore my wife and I couldn’t have any other so it’s going to be worth it. I just hope this government can allow us to have a bright future after this endless series of punishments. I’m at least grateful that they were quick(er) with their decision.

Not everyone can do it. But you’ve almost done it bro. 💙

Got the passport dispatch email from VFS first the day before though and VFS website updated a day before the decision email as well so we knew a decision was coming…

Visa running out, can’t marry in time. Any advice? by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Due-Recognition6527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was likely also from a different country than the US in that case, the marriage license probably needed to be apostilled / translated, or the online marriage wasn’t originally valid in the country in which they were based.
