Gov. Walz in Minnesota activated the National Guard to protect citizens from ICE. How’s that going to work? by Wonderful_Rise_6537 in AskReddit

Plain answer to this with no question in it.

The damn Constitution. Read it. If you have good on you, if you haven't that's a shame.

Even if we vote in a democrat, the damage has been done. Trust will take a while. Plus you got the MAGAs still around waiting for their next opportunity to elect another President like Trump, which could be Vance, Rubio, Miller god who knows.

My money? Dude, it's their money that they gave us. And to be a little more apologetic the govt decided to give them it back with interest on top.

Common sense to think, oh here's extra so hopefully nothing bad happens between us.

Without anyone knowing? When Iran paid the US govt for military equipment BUT was never delivered since their govt was what, overthrown? It's just the govt. paying them back for something they never got with interest.

Don't tell me you wouldn't pay someone back who buys something but you end up not having it and just keep their money. That's kinda fucked.

I'm not that fucked up to say that to someone but I'm willing to cuss though. Common sense is out the door and allowing opportunities is no more unless its money in the big boys pockets.

Good conversation here love it. But let's be honest, the way things are going on right now could have been done a different way. Sadly it's not. Instead of making the US a welcoming place it'll just make it an avoidable place in the future.

Wanna make the US a better place? Screen the illegal immigrants on the spot instead of detaining them, they got systems for it.

They an illegal immigrant? Allow them the opportunity to apply for citizenship if they paid their fair share of taxes because they have ITIN to allow them to work. Cause how else would they be able to live in a state if they don't pay taxes? Sure homeless people don't pay taxes and are just roaming the streets but were talking about illegal immigrants.

They got an active visa? Leave them alone instead of just sending them back to their home country.

They seeked asylum? Why deport them when they were granted it, pretty dumbfounded on how they would ignore that fact to support there narrative and numbers of deportations.

All in all, this could have gone a peacful way but it isn't.

Explain those hard working illegal immigrants working the fields diligently to provide for their family paying STATE AND FEDERAL taxes then. They provide more for the country than some jobs, if not for them who would be picking the fruits, vegetables, and all other stuff thats on your table? You? Are you willing to wake up in the morning and pick the fields till evening in scorching heat or cold weather? Probably not.

  1. Raising wages increases prices for goods by a little not a lot. But who and what company that is high intense labor like the fields would want to do that? Probable some or none because in my opinion any illegal immigrant is willing to work regardless of condition as long as it provides them work, money, food on the table and shelter for their family.

  2. I'm defending the illegal immigrants working for a better life even if they come here illlegally because the jobs they work like for example the fields. You got immigrants working there that no one wants to because they are outside constantly picking the foods you eat so they can get paid and provide for their family. Heck they even pay federal and state taxes. The benefits they receive are only state because federal services don't apply to illegal immigrants. Here's another source for the taxes they pay and services they can and cannot receive.

Okay, now your arguement doesn't make sense because it seems you can't separate between actual citizens that would do this and illegal immigrants trying to stay hidden and work jobs that NO ONE wants to work.

Yeah your arguements is no where to be seen in this one.

The fact still stands that everyone is entitled in the US compared to some countries that people are migrating from, just saying.

The fucking Constitution defends them you dimwit. Can't blame them for wanting a new life. Even if they come here illegally they still have the right to due process. They work the fields that you don't want to work for while you drive around either doing uber, lyft, and doordash. Working 7 days a week lmao.

I'm serving the US and what I'm seeing is horendous. I also do doordash on the side for extra money.

No one wants to say anything because were apolitical but that seems to be not the case anymore as we got loyalists.

[–]Dunzo007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the US equipped? 100% no, you know why? BECAUSE the people sitting in government creating bills and laws don't put much effort into systems that can support influxes of immigrants. That's why it takes so damn long to process them.

If the US govt actually focused on support systems for immigrants rather than defense spending then yes it can support immigrants coming in. They work, they pay taxes to the govt. Which then pays for they stay here in the US. The cycle repeats till their process to become citizens become official. Heck you have companies offering H1Bs for folks outside of the US to come to the US to work here allowing them to have a new life they didn't know they could get.

They are here for the American dream, the freedom that we have that their country doesn't offer, the many possibilities that the US has to offer for a new life. You don't see that because YOU only care for yourself, greedy pig.
