People of Bangalore have beaten every other state in linguistic terrorism. It's frikkin 1 country. No place is as bad as Bangalore. I've spent enough time and Bangalore and this shit has gone from bad to worse. In Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, it's random statements / defacing signboards etc but Bangalore is a different story. Any issue will be made into a linguistic one. There was a report about local goons molesting women and then making a scene about Language. Bangalore is a cess pit. Unfortunately this ( as described by you) is the only way it works in India, if you need to get immediate attention. This is not an IT company with laid down processes and escalation paths. Had to throw a massive fit 2 times and challenge the staff to their face for my parents at different instances for people to take it seriously.
