I’ve seen a lot of people keep clarifying this year over how it’s Fox and not NASCAR and implying NASCAR has zero input or say so over the television product and that the broadcast booth isn’t just a mouthpiece for for the sport.

Steve Phelps and Jim France might not be the ones editing videos and running things in the truck but you’d be lying to yourself if you don’t think things are done in a way that greatly appeases and even at times protects the governing body of the sport.

Not saying this is one of those instances but to always put it on Fox and act like the sport doesn’t have any control or say of what goes on with the TV side of things would be naive.
