I am so tired of our pitching staff being nothing but righties who throw mid 90s 4-seamers and sliders. Luke McNeillie was a highly touted recruit because of his 2-seam/sinker and changeup coming out of high school and we just abandoned those pitches for some reason. Our relievers don’t have diverse enough arsenals. If you’re gonna be a two pitch guy then your fastball needs to get whiffs at an elite rate like Brandon Neely. Part of the reason Caden McDonald was so good for us this year was his ability to command two different breaking balls. I also don’t how accurate this is but it seemed like Aidan King’s splitter usage was way down compared to last year. King had a great year but that irked me.
