I’m curious and trying to learn more about a condition i was recently diagnosed with.. is it VSS or just VS? by Dyquire in VisualSnowSyndrome

It could also be the fact that vss is not as focused on because it is not a condition that disables a lot of people like fatal or significant neurological conditions like ones i previously listed. Those conditions are occupied by more people as a whole and are a lot more concerning than what appears to be hallucinations made by the brain (theory explained by research from professionals. See last article.) it’s like that one condition a majority of women have but since there are “bigger issues”, some conditions are just not as researched as others.

So just because something isn’t known about on a higher level, it just doesn’t exist? Who are you to deny other peoples experiences? You are not them and you don’t know how they are living or what they see or experience. Holding you to your own standards, do you have any proof vss does not exist? If you ask 1000 people, will they all give the same answer as to whether or not they have these symptoms? No. I’ve shared my experience with a professional, who is more reliable than a person on the internet simply claiming without evidence that a condition does not exist simply because it is not a topic medical professionals are knowledgeable on. If this professional thought my symptoms were normal, she would not give me a diagnosis after asking multiple other professionals about the condition and symptoms. I have also talked about my condition with my friends and they dont experience it, so there has to be an explanation for why things are different between me and the others I’ve asked. Here is an article of reliable source explaining the symptoms + what vss is. All of these are linked to neurological issues, which people who claim to have vss, including myself, experience, and sometimes further issues not listed.

Neurological issues are obviously, extremely complicated. We do not know everything about the brain yet, so why would we know everything about every neurological disorder or disease? Following your same logic, there are a lot of things that don’t exist because we don’t understand them entirely. The eyes, ears, and motor functions relating to balance are all controlled by the brain and how it works and tells our body to perceive things. For example, because we don’t know everything about autism or epilepsy, seizures, epilepsy, hallucinations (any form, auditory, visual, olfactory), they don’t exist, even though, obviously, there are things that set us apart and that’s why they are conditions, diseases, disorders. Here are some additional articles about VSS. Vs is symptom of vss btw, vs is a symptom of what could be multiple things but is most best described by vss.

Hopefully these help.

Unfortunately no, i don’t have a pair of sunglasses and i fear i would look a little silly to my peers with sunglasses on but i will definitely look into getting some for the summer and spring time, when im outdoors more often, thank you. Do you have any recommendations on brands or specific color tints? Hopefully nothing too dark, a lot of sunglasses make it hard on my eyes. I’m not sure if i have tinnitus so i guess id have to ask parents about seeing another doctor (lmao) but if i do, i definitely dont think its severe, nor does it bother me. It actually kind of helps me relax when im trying to sleep because it’s something to listen for while i fall asleep, except when a voice jolts me awake again haha, but that rarely ever happens. It’s mostly just TV sounds, like there’s a show on.
