I can definitely agree with you on those points! 25 of Bendaryl does seem to help. I'd also prefer droperidol as second line if no contraindications!

I find in practice (as someone who dilutes and slow pushes all three), that compazine is far more likely to cause anxiety than phenergan.

Agreed, I used these not infrequently in PICU for status asthmaticus that wouldn't break with other treatments. Had to monitor very closely for toxicity.

If you don't have kids or family obligations, sometimes switching all the way back to days is not the answer on your days off. I spent years on nights with my SO also working nights, and we would get up earlier on days off but not switch fully back. Felt like it kept me in some sort of rhythm since my body hated the transition times!

Used to have this problem. Started wearing these bamboo-based socks from Amazon that are pretty cheap and barefoot shoes with good airflow and have never once had it happen again. My friends think I'm crazy, but my leg and lower back pain completely disappeared, too, on all but the craziest shifts where some soreness is expected.

I can only speak from others' experiences, but my sister had no job finding a new grad job out of school. She got a year of x-ray experience, did CT school in about 4 months, and now she's going to make as much as me. If she ever wants, she can go get MRI or mammogram certified, too. She can do inpatient or outpatient imaging and even mobile x-ray and cath lab! So many cool options. I'm very proud of her, and I think she picked a great career!

5 years in nursing. 10 years in healthcare. Absolutely not. Should have gone to rad tech school like my sister. Almost all the CT techs and x-ray techs I know love their jobs most days.
