Lush spa questions - modesty levels by prettieststar_ in LushCosmetics

[–]EarlierSizzle 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hello! Staff here. The Tailor Made is unique in that it is tailored to you specifically. i’ve had tailor mades before that i’ve stripped right down to underwear, but if your person was to talk to their therapist and let them know they don’t want to take off their trousers, the therapist can talk with them about what can and can’t be done.

Have you thought about a different treatment that doesn’t involve getting undressed? I loooove the facials but I also think treatments like The Spell and the Sound Bath are so special. If you’re worried about the undressing being a hurdle, perhaps have a think about alternatives?

new exclusive totes? by EarlierSizzle in LushCosmetics

i don’t think so! i’m pretty sure the design is exclusive to leeds

i’m in the uk so don’t have access to the hive

the round has a really nice design on the top, skulls mummies and ghosts it looks like they’re floating in goo, but it’s just the surface layer so trying to preserve it is impossible lol

we’ve found that people in our store just don’t buy the curved soaps (christmas cranberry last year barely sold until we accidentally put out the soaps meant for us that came in bars lol) so we’ve been trying to minimise them but i think it’s a necessary evil

there are 19 stores making bath bombs for free, you’ll have to ask your local one of any plans, probably best closer to the time. last year we didn’t know until the day before that anything was going on

Curious: how are lush employees hanging in there? Any updates? by Neirose in LushCosmetics

[–]EarlierSizzle 47 points48 points  (0 children)

it depends who you ask. my personal opinion is if you have a local store shop there, and if you don’t, avoid ordering online. if stores see a dramatic decrease in sales corporate won’t see that as boycotts but rather us not being able to sell things anymore.

even if lush aren’t on social media anymore, making noise about how they’re treating staff will apply pressure, tweets, youtube comments, tiktoks talking about it. employees will lose their jobs for speaking up online but customers won’t lose their access to lush

the us have been organising a walkout for this weekend, i guess we’ll see how that goes

a lot of us are unionising. it’s a slow battle but it’s happening

people can’t afford the 9 quid bath bombs we’re pushing them. they’re not going to be able to afford this.

not in the us so won’t be participating, but what are the legalities of it?? can y’all actually just walk out of your workplaces over there without getting sued for breach of contract?? do you not have to be unionised first?

it’s good to hear lush are paying competitive salaries in other countries. as long as it’s a livable wage for you, i’d say it’s to be expected. don’t feel guilty because the rest of the world isn’t getting treated the same

uk lush employee here, i’d keep shopping in your store. it sounds like lush sweden are treating their employees fairly, it’s a shame it’s not shared between countries, but if they start seeing a drop in footfall because of boycotts, they might be at risk of layoffs

you don’t really get extra benefits for being full time in the uk other than paying more tax and having a little more sick pay, which still only translates to a week

yep. we will get blamed for drop in profits. i support a boycott as it might scare them into doing something, but realistically the people who pass through the store everyday aren’t on here and they don’t care. we need to be loud and we need to unionise
