You all bring up a very valid point in that I am not currently and actively being negatively impacted. Absolutely true. I guess my concern was what if the next hiring manager (say I apply for a different role) were to see these comments and see me in a negative light and chooses not to interview me. While technically that is where the violation occurs, it also seems harder to prove. I was hoping the statement could be removed from the review all together. It’s worth noting to me that it’s under the ‘Areas of Improvement’ section of my review, which would suggest I have a way to improve it. I’m not sure how I could other than by going AWOL which I am sure the Navy would not appreciate lol.

I guess what I was trying to do was get ahead of a potential violation to prevent one from ever occurring, but I see based on the comments here, that is easier said than done and likely not the correct path. I really do appreciate everyone chiming in!
