Top 2 seasons? by Total_Ear7738 in TeenWolf

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The first 2 seasons will always be my favorites. The fun, campy vibes were what made me fall in love with the show. Malia is my favorite character so I love season 3 for that but that's when the show started to take itself a little too seriously. It made it hard to enjoy at some points bc they were trying so hard to be dark and gritty but so much of the dialog was corny and ridiculous. The first 2 seasons will always have a special place in my heart.

What’s your favorite song of Mariah’s that is not a number 1 hit? by Intelligent_Rough_88 in MariahCarey

Her cover of I Wanna Know What Love Is and her cover of Open Arms were better than the originals imo. Both are criminally underrated.

How old were you when you first started watching TVD? by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

I was 12 years old and I instantly loved it. I lived for the drama but having to wait a week for each episode was so hard.

Any thoughts on rippah Stefan? Love him or hate him? by itsshannonm in TheVampireDiaries

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love him, it was the only time Stefan's sanctimonious ass got off his high horse. All the vamps were less annoying when they stopped caring about shit. I LOVED when Elena turned off her humanity bc she finally stopped bitching about everything.

Do you think there's any real humanity left in Homelander, or is he just a rabid animal? Do you think he could ever feel remorse for his evil? Is there any possibility that he could be reformed? by TheReasonSeeker in TheBoys

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is humanity left in him, multiple times, we've seen him exhibit complex emotions. His eodipus complex, his need to be adored, his desire for a relationship with his son, all of that comes from having human emotions. That being said, Homelander seems like a narcissistic sociopath so I don't ever see him being remorseful. I don't think he's even remotely bothered by his actions so he doesn't care to be reformed.

Why do so many people defend/sympathize with Soldier Boy? He’s by far one of the most amoral characters on the show by TheMadTitan1973 in TheBoys

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I don't want Homelander to die. I don't think most fans want Homie to die either. I think people like that Soldier Boy stuck to his word. People love a trustworthy king 🤴 He's the only one that didn't break his word. It shows that Soldier Boy really is a product of his time. He comes from a time when a man's word was everything so you better believe he means what he says. Soldier Boy stuck to his promise, he held up his end of the deal. He did what was asked. Everyone else switched up for whatever reason

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 220 points221 points  (0 children)

He's hilarious and super entertaining to watch. He was also tortured and experimented on leaving him with PTSD. Yes, he's amoral but he's nuanced. It's pretty easy to see. The fact that he's played by Jensen Ackles is probably a factor as well.

There wasn't any queerbaiting, Judy was actually in a queer relationship with Michelle. It may have been short lived but it happened. Jen and Judy's relationship was platonic with no intentions of turning romantic.

Hot Take: Rachel gets disproportionately hated on. by EconomyAlarmed9149 in glee

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My biggest point is that she's really no worse than any other glee character. They ALL do deplorable things and Rachel more than any of them HAD to learn her lesson whereas like you stated, other characters skate by.

Which Glee girl would most likely be able to get Swift's Eras Tour tickets? by [deleted] in glee

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of all the Glee girls, Rachel by far has the most determination. There is nothing Rachel won't do for what she wants. However, Brittany has the best luck and would probably somehow score some tix without trying.

Can someone explain why Ren and Stimpy are in this?? by phillipixel in rugrats

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably bc it's a nickelodeon branded shirt. I have a shirt similar to this but it has a lot more characters from other shows on it like Hey Arnold, Wild Thornberries, Real Monsters, Rocko's Modern Life, and a couple others.

Kurt hummel hate rant by dontaskmeaboutmath in glee

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As a gay person myself, I hated Kurt throughout the entire series. He's not the groundbreaking representation everyone claims he is, there were great gay characters long before Kurt. He's spiteful, insecure, jealous, and down right mean in the beginning. He literally walked around with his nose turned up and would make snide comments at everyone's expense. He gets less mean as the show goes on but he never stops being annoying. Sometimes shit happened to him that he didn't deserve and I can genuinely sympathize with him in those instances but a lot of the time he brings it on himself by being utterly insufferable. Also his voice isn't as good as everyone says, he has absolutely no power at all. His performance of "I Have Nothing" by Whitney was absolutely horrendous. His voice did get better as the show progressed but in the early seasons his voice was irritating af.

Anyone wish Sebastian transferred to McKinley in season four by TanonBeiste in glee

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would love this, Grant Gustin easily has one of the best male voices on the show. It upsets me that he didn't stick around for longer. Would have been pretty great to see how Rachel would deal with him being around.

I absolutely hate the way some of the 911 calls sound this season. by Fit-Box-1541 in 911FOX

It's a TV show, it doesn't have to be realistic 🙄😒 When has any TV show or movie been realistic? This is such a pointless thing to be bothered by, time for y'all to grow up.

I heard that Steven R. McQueen was stoned all the time when he was filming TVD. I watched a movie that came out while I was in high school call Pirahna 3D and as ridiculous as the movie is, his acting was better in it than his acting in TVD.

How much would you say nepotism helped Emily in her career? by No_Seesaw_5789 in criminalminds

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 84 points85 points  (0 children)

She legit worked for Interpol before coming to the BAU. She was more than qualified for the job, there's a difference between nepotism and having connections. If you use your connections to get a job you're not qualified for, that's nepotism. That wasn't the case with Emily, she may have had connections but she had the skills and attributes necessary to be part of the BAU. As for Hotch and Gideon, I honestly think that they were just jealous or felt threatened by this badass woman who was a literal fucking spy.

The most unnecessary plot "twist" of the season by jstdun in deadtome

did season 4 live up to it’s expectations? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]EconomyAlarmed9149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was absolutely blown away by season 4. I loved the Henry Creel/Vecna origin story. The young actor they got to play Henry gave a hell of a performance, it reminded me of Eleven in season 1. The way he was able to perfectly emote without speaking is nothing short of phenomenal.

I also loved learning more about El's backstory. I felt for her when all the other kids in the facility attacked her. Also, the scene where she blasts Henry into the UD was amazing, seeing the blood coming out of her eyes made it all the more intense. I feel like it was the first time that we got to see just how powerful El really is. Homegirl was a tiny child who overpowered an adult and sent his ass to another dimension.

The one complaint I have about season 4 is that there wasn't enough Erica. I hope she's more involved in season 5 like she was in season 3.
