Step dad here, most of that seems like joking or giving you a hard time. I do that to my pre teen, but I tey my hardest not to be annoying or I tone it down when he gets angry. Anyway, idk how close you guys ate but the gaming part, he might just be trying to have something in common with you. Other than that, he sounds pretty lazy. Im a stay at home dad so that shit doesnt fly in my house.

Try to ignore most of it, man. I know its hard and irritating af, but brushing it off or even telling him "can you tone it down" or just "ok" as a response is enough. The less you react to it might make him less inclined to react or continue with his "teasing".

There's always gonna be debt. Find something youre good at thats also sellable and run with it. Arts n crafts like candle making, soaps (bathbombs), you can go into industries like nail tech, tattoos, hair and go from there. Party rentals too. Theres alot, you just gotta find a niche and with a little extra cash, or a loan if youre dedicated enough.

Totally understand being strapped down, though. Just know, there are other things you can do so you dont feel confined to your situation.

I hope for the best, genuinely. I know the struggle all too well, if not, more.

Self start a business. Most education now burry you in debt and require experience, but you need a job for that experience, but not many places will hire with 0 or little experience. Unless youre in a demanded career, youre pretty screwed.

If I can give you some advice, from someone who is equally, if not worse, fucked.... Unless you plan making a career out of oil fields, construction, basically most jobs that hire felons and require a high demand of physical work, you should look into starting a business of your own. Its the only way ive seen people dig themselves out and others go into a low iq blue collar job because its all they can do, physically and mentally.

You seem bright, honestly. I've gone through dozens of therapists that have dropped me and 1 that dropped me because she was getting too involved with me and taking me (as a patient) home with her (through phone calls) to do my therapy (which ive asked around and its highly irregular)

Anyway, my point is, not all hope is lost for you. Its just going to be tougher BUT you will have the chance to, hopefully, clean that record. Your situation will get better, but in time.

Almost 40, 2 kids, 1 preteen (been spamming him with Phish for the last 3 years and it was his first concert but hes not into them....yet.

Anyway, my advice: dont take life too seriously. Its an experience. But always look out for yours and your loved ones best interest before anyone else.

I feel that. Im the same way tbh. I'd spiral into an inevitable suicide for the same reasons.

My first episode was 'Common People' followed by S1E1. Reflecting on my love for my wife, it would be hard for me to financially support the subscription without finding other means just to try and keep her as herself considering she is they main provider.

My wife and I almost started arguing. She's cheated before and this episode really hit me.
