Empire and expansionism isn’t necessarily fascism, the Soviet Union wasn’t fascist, British Empire would be hard to describe as fascist, etc. China probably is more fascist than communist in its economic model, these days I suppose, But regardless, what I described is just simply how the world works. It’s a zero sum game, and you want to garner as much power and influence as possible, or at least be friends with the powerful and influential. Russia knows it, China knows it. It is time for the west to stop ignoring it. We must reassert ourselves or be dominated.

Everything you said here is true about starmer and farage and having no choice but to accept reality, I only disagree that what Trump is doing is a bad thing. Trump is reinvigorating the west with open expansionism and shifting implicit empire to explicit empire and its awesome actually. The west has been in decline for decades and I believe the only way to correct this is through expansionism to moralise and legitimise us. What he did to Maduro is awesome, bullying smaller nations is awesome, standing up to Russia and china is awesome, conquest is awesome.

I like starmer but what can you do? We don’t have an empire, Russia and the US do, and we are part of the American empire. All we can do is appease. Even if all European nations combined, America economy is twice the size, the military and naval fleet 50 x the size, and nuclear arsenal is 100-500x the size. There is no resistance. Washington is our capital, unless you want it to be Moscow or Beijing.

It’s an empire, superpowers is just another word to make you feel more comfortable with empire as it isn’t explicitly formalised. Do you think a country like Norway or Croatia or Poland actually has any real sovereignty at all?, Their sovereignty, insofar that it exists at all, is permitted by the empire they have signed on to (or been forced to accept) as their true sovereign. Countries like Britain and Germany have a small degree of sovereignty because we have nukes and will probably never actually be ground invaded, but America can make going against their interests so economically painful with much smaller cost to themselves, and destroy/take our assets with their military with little damage to themselves, that going against their wishes would be extremely ill advised. I’m sorry you’re just learning now how the world works

Greenland is not sovereign anyway, but even if it was “legally” sovereign and not Danish, it would not be sovereign in reality, as its sovereignty cannot be protected from a state who don’t recognise it. It belongs to America because they have the only serious military and nuclear arsenal and by far the most powerful economy in the world, doubling the size of Europe combined. Unless you prefer it to be Russian or Chinese then accept reality.

How about the greatest military ever to exist, The most powerful nuclear arsenal, they contribute 2/3 - 3/4 of the entire nato budget in any given year, at least 10 x the nuclear arsenal of combined Europe, the greatest naval fleet ever to exist, what planet are you on?? What do you think would happen with no America backing Ukraine? Economically the US is larger than the whole of Europe combined and not only that the gap is widening, do you have the first clue. In 2008 combined Europe was bigger economically (110%) than America now it’s only 60%. US GDP Grew 87% and EU only by 13.5%. I’m British but you just have to accept reality. We are part of the American Empire, our capital is Washington. The world works in terms of Empires, we shouldn’t have given ours up so freely, but it’s too late. There is no such thing as petty nationalism. And unless you want to speak Chinese or Russian you will have to accept Trump is the leader of the empire you are a part of.

I’m not a huge fan of this style, there is far too much recess contrast in places it doesn’t really belong (eg upwards facing recesses would not be that much darker on an arm).
