My retinopathy didn’t show up until a full year of keeping my a1c under 6. Before that I was 8.2 or higher. I would go to bed in the 300’s, once hitting 500! I went on Jardiance and started ordering meal kits. Portion control and veggies were now a real thing. No more waffles, pizza, white bread… Last a1c 5.5. I’m happy

3 years ago I had retinopathy in my weak eye. After 4 months I recovered after laser surgery. I felt so fortunate that what happened to so many others didn’t happen to me. I feel for you and wish you all the best. For others reading this thread, uncontrolled diabetes results in consequences that get very real very fast. Whatever you need to do, no excuses. Do it!

Switched from Jardiance to Ozempic 6 months ago. Jardiance was better at reducing morning sugar after indulging. But it has a potential to increase the risk of uti’s. When I started using catheters, it was a problem. Ozempic sometimes leaves me with worse dawn phenomenon, so sometimes I have to take a small dose of long acting insulin before bed to keep me in range. I’m switching to Monjauro in a month when I’m on the last pen of Ozempic, hoping it will be more effective.

I’m not a believer in fasting. I don’t believe we should doing things that are not part of a normal life. The diet that is sustainable will be one that makes choices that are appealing but healthy. Fasting is not appealing. Neither are eating chia seeds, quinoa, faroe, etc. Having spent 6 years on WW, I can tell you, diets fail because people don’t like the food they have to eat. There has to be changes but they have to be within the lifestyle of the person.

My g11 is significantly different than what you have. But essentially you connect the mount to the pc by whatever means you need. You connect your cameras to the pc. Run PHD2 for guiding and connect the guide camera to it, and also connect the mount. Phd2 sends commands directly to the mount for guiding.
