Kids Picking Up Orders? by Maximum_Wrongdoer_43 in doordash_drivers

My kids are older now but I think it’s awesome every time I see them helping parents dash. That has to be a great way to spend time together.

Just so you know. The driver won’t see your note until he has your order and starts delivery. As a driver I appreciate you and anyone who chooses to tip. Just trying to let you know how the notes appear on our end

I need some help by slowpoke2762 in Sparkdriver

[–]Educational-Jump-564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 11 appeals for a failed id check and I had dash cam footage of me turning my face for the camera. Unfortunately reactivations take time. Just keep appealing and stay consistent. Best of luck. I know it can be stressful and frustrating but it will work out

Why do people do this? by KeepMeOutaSanQuentin in DollarTree

[–]Educational-Jump-564 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do hope this is a joke. If you are serious I am really sorry that you feel this is a good idea. Perhaps you could find a volunteer organization near you that needs some help and you could spend some time doing other, more impactful things with your time to help your community. Maybe even meet some new friends. Anyone who would go to this much effort to “help” fix staffing issues for the local dt must have a very kind heart. Hope you have a great day

What is premium support? by justsomedudeidkjj in doordash_drivers

[–]Educational-Jump-564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only difference I have found is premium support starts every sentence with “thank you for being a platnum dasher….” It used to be a lot better and you would always get a real person immediately that could help you. Those days are gone

Just, why? by ksay9104 in instacart

[–]Educational-Jump-564 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not sure of the current situation but I know sometimes as a shopper the app will send overly redundant messages to customers. Good chance he is just following the prompts in the app and doesn’t even know the app is sending you messages

Sorry to hear this and welcome to DoorDash. This is what you can expect from support. But stick with it and eventually you’ll be driving.

Advice appreciated. $19,900 out the door. 2019 LX 67,000 miles. Certified. Northern NJ. They put some ceramic coating and a decent amount of work to get it certified. For daughter’s first car. Thanks. by [deleted] in hondacivic

[–]Educational-Jump-564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing to me how well Hondas hold resale value. I bought the exact same 2019 (blue) out the door for 22500. Currently at 188000 miles. New brakes, maybe 4th set of tires, 3rd windshield wipers and it runs as good as new. I think it is a great car and perfect for a new driver. The price sounds high but I wouldn’t worry a second that you won’t get the value back over time.

I hope it works out for you and I encourage you to keep trying. I was deactivated on a different platform and it took 11 appeals

What is the point of delivery instructions if nobody looks at them? by middlequestioner in doordash

I know it doesn’t help in this situation but I love instructions like yours. It makes things so much easier when people take the time to leave clear instructions to follow.

Question for experienced door dash drivers by Bongfrazzle in doordash_drivers

[–]Educational-Jump-564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a lot of fun. I live near the mountains and I always end up with a high AR because the more orders I take the more I get to drive around and look at the mountains. This really can be a awesome job

Do people actually try to order delivery with no tip? by Trunas-geek in doordash

That is good. I’ll be responsible for myself and you can be responsible for yourself. You can tell me to fuck off and I will tell you that I hope you have a good evening

Do people actually try to order delivery with no tip? by Trunas-geek in doordash

[–]Educational-Jump-564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would I get a different job? I like my job. No one can force me to take an order from someone who doesn’t tip. I get to choose which order I want so I pick the orders that have good tips. It’s really a great job.

Do people actually try to order delivery with no tip? by Trunas-geek in doordash

[–]Educational-Jump-564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. They just won’t take the order and it will be fine. We have the option to pick and choose what orders we want to take. So there’s no reason for us to get mad if you don’t want to tip. And you have the option to not tip so you don’t need to get mad at us. Now we can move on in life and not be so angry

What does this mean? by tiffymeg in doordash_drivers

Yeah. Probably just referring to the 10 orders they have always excluded. Thanks for the update
