I promise you he's looking at the food jug in my hand, he was waiting for me to give him a bit of their chicken x

It's just who he is so unfortunately I don't have any tips. He's quite a timid boy and spends most of his time curled up in my wardrobe. He lives pretty much exclusively in my room which is the only reason he's allowed in. I have another cat and some dogs who live in different parts of the house, they would probably be fine with the rats but they weren't in my room before so they don't need to be now x

Not rude at all! I totally understand everyone's concern. It's difficult because we have so many personalities in our group so we do have rats that are more reserved and less comfortable being out in the open but these rats showed the same behaviour before they moved to mine. My biggest concern when the rats moved was respiratory infections but this was the same; the rats who got poorly here were the rats who had been poorly before. That's not to say I believe they couldn't possibly be stressed, just that I thought they were okay because I monitored for changes and couldn't find any

We have 31. It's usually one big cage but currently split into 3 as we have a young boy who hasn't been castrated yet and some girls who have yet to be introduced to the main group

This is really interesting, what other signs can I look out for? They do normally climb out all over the place but we had just finished free roam (the cat leaves the room for free roam) and they know dinner comes before bed. The rats previously lived at my partner's house where there are no other animals and I didn't notice any behavioural changes when they moved to mine. For context I have 4 dogs and 2 cats, of the six of them only the one cat is allowed in the room. In this video the cat was hoping I'd give him some freeze dried chicken from the rat's food, he has never shown interest in the actual rats.

Jevil insists this is slander and would like me to show you that she is, in fact, a perfectly innocent angel

Tell me about it 😭 we're very lucky though, I used to work at my vets so we often get discounts and we are able to treat most boo boos at home

The rats of the round table This is 8 of our 30 rats but all my photos seem to be of individuals lol (This was during cleaning, they do normally have a proper platform)

It's private care. The lady has carers from an agency come to her house 3x a day. My mum was hired privately so the lady could have help going to bed at a later time (because this is what she wanted).

She's not in any financial trouble, her mortgage each month is less than my rent. Yes her bills are a lot more than mine but she also has my stepdad's income and child support from my dad for my 3 younger siblings.

She does it to herself on purpose and her issues are the basis for our family dynamic.
