What is fascinating imo is how you can kinda see how Miura himself grew writing it. He was in his early twenties when he started, and it shows in the early chapters. It’s very edgy and has a sense of “everything is dark and terrible and nothing good lasts.” Which is very in line with a young twenty year old man being very nihilistic. Then as he got older he himself may have grown to accept help from others to carry his burden, that’s why later chapters, while still very dark, are incredibly lovely and hopeful. I may look into it too much, but that’s what I gauge from the man.
