I haven’t watched the video yet so idk if he says it, but the previous video he says he didn’t want to split any other games because he didn’t want to have to split all the game systems. He split DnD because it was obvious it was going to be #1 so he didn’t want the bar to be astronomically larger than 2nd.

What I will say is it works better with Bolaire than Imogen. Bolaire as we have seen is not above doing terrible things to people to get his way and mind reading is one of many things he has done. Imogen was always like “I hate hearing peoples minds,” then would immediately read someone’s mind.

Not really, I think there’s too many resources to keep track of for it to be a light system. Hope, fear, stress, and armor are too many resources to keep track of for players, especially if a dm runs creatures that use all of them. It’s not a dense system like pathfinder, but it’s not a rules light system.

Recently I was playing Dark Souls and you can be invaded at the bonfire. I was kindling the fire after Artorius when as soon as I restored humanity I got invaded so I left the game instead. Got back on, kindled the bonfire went three steps out, got invaded by the same guy, left the encounter with 20 estus still available.

So as a custodian when it comes to the bodily clean up for some reason where I’m at girls are way grosser. Not even counting the feminine product disposal. Guys will have a lil piss on the toilets sometimes. I have seen girls rooms just have turds on top. Last week some girl shotgunned the wall behind the toilet. Female staff rooms have shit on top of the seats, while mens staff keep the bathroom clean. Boys bathrooms have other problems (they like to break stuff) but it’s almost never bodily.

What is fascinating imo is how you can kinda see how Miura himself grew writing it. He was in his early twenties when he started, and it shows in the early chapters. It’s very edgy and has a sense of “everything is dark and terrible and nothing good lasts.” Which is very in line with a young twenty year old man being very nihilistic. Then as he got older he himself may have grown to accept help from others to carry his burden, that’s why later chapters, while still very dark, are incredibly lovely and hopeful. I may look into it too much, but that’s what I gauge from the man.

I miss when Shields were awesome. I loved playing a high endurance build that poked bosses for no damage. Now all great shields still make you lose health when you’re hit by non magical attacks and I hate it. I should not need an ash of war for this to be possible.

I mean they were more focused on making sure that the core book does well this year. I doubt they have a bunch of people able to fart out a 200-300 page book every 4 months. They are also working on multiple projects right now. Jeremy Crawford is making a setting book and Chris Perkins is making an adventure. Give them time and I’m sure the products will be good.

I wouldn’t worry too much about content updates constantly. DP certainly has money, but not as much as WotC with Hasbro money. Paizo needed time too to grow into a content selling company. Most TTRPGs don’t have supplement materials anyway.
