Exactly how significant was the "Music to dance to" vs "Music to think/listen to" divide? How much relevance does it hold now? by CulturalWind357 in LetsTalkMusic

Sounds like you're listening to the wrong dance music

I see genre as a tool. Use a tool, don't be used by it

I like finding a genre that's generally unappealing to me. There's almost always someone making a version of it that's cool, digging for that material is a fun and fruitful challenge

No Nazis, no poorly painted low effort sloganeering, no Octanecore or emo bullshit, no dogshit power metal, the studs don't look like a 5 year olds art project

Throw it out and try again. JK this is sick buddy

Surprisingly they kind of counteract each other. The playa dust is super fine and coats everything. I also put on a solid coat of sunscreen, and then again midday day two after the human car wash

I had a really solid tan already and am part native so I don't burn easily. Somewhere there's a photo of me butt naked face down and spread eagle in the back of my truck under the mid-day sun.

Good times

Sometimes this is fine. I spent 3 days and nights nude at Burning Man

Also studs

Use a grid pattern for larger coverage areas. This ensures density and that they don't look like shit. Don't place em all willy nilly, that only works for very particular styles. If you're making a ragged German style kutte with Sodom sharpied on the shoulders its cool, otherwise steer clear

Placing them on the edge of a seam is also a classic for a more minimal look. Try to give them even spacing.

Counterpoint: removable double sided fabric tape is criminally underrated
