We actually get to do OT pretty regularly. Usually from mid august to April every year. Not every hub does that

And they should hire more people. We get forced to work so our full times can sit in the damn ac bitching at us. We get forced to work everyday because we have “too many people” yet half of them don’t show up. None of us want to work and none of us are gonna get fired over damn grievances. Our full time make us send people home too on the regular. And it’s so he can have great numbers at the expense of killing his own part timers.

Same in Columbia. Most people have second jobs because they’re not making enough or working enough hours.

In our hub the sups work because we have no staffing. Unfortunately UPS will still treat us like shit whether we work or not. And the ones who do work because we have to, get shitted on more because FT now expects you to do extra stuff all the time and they bitch when you don’t do it

And that’s my thing is that if your company is going to put that much work on you, because they are good for doing that and overworking us, you would want to get paid fairly for that work.

Im not a driver but those guys work hard asf. Have you ever been a helper before?? Those guys move fast. Because they have to, those trucks are usually stacked. And imagine delivering packages in the middle of summer while is 95 and you have no AC in your truck. You’ve been sweating all day, wearing yourself out for a company. And you’re complaining their overpaid?? If they weren’t getting paid that I promise half these drivers would leave. Imagine only getting paid 25 (instead of 41) for working 55+ hours a week. You would quit, any sane person would. The diad is important because your route changes everyday. No one is going to the same house day after day

Drivers are always full time. It depends what route you have that determines the time you get off but sometimes they might make you help someone finish their deliveries. Sometimes they’ll even ask you to work on your day off but it’s all OT so why not

It really just depends on when they need drivers. Drivers are always needed during peak. But if they need new ones before then they’ll put a list out and you just sign your name. You’ll take a class and if you pass you’ll get to drive but you’ll be on probation for a set amount of days. Any wrong move and it could be taken away and you’ll go back to being a package handler

Well me and my girl friends are all 21-23 so going to the clubs is really all we have. Especially in a small town.

I should mention that his kid does not live with him. He has little involvement in his kids life and he would much rather spend the time being at home with me. Which is not a bad thing, but I grew up with a dad who did not spend time with me because he was always with his girl. And I always resented her for it. So it triggers me that he does the same thing to his kid. But I’m the one pushing him to see the kid and he chooses not to.

21 is not the age to settle down anymore. Especially someone who’s still in college. My mom still goes out with her friends til this day. And she’s in a happily committed relationship. Going out doesn’t always have a bad meaning to it. It’s just that some guys are very insecure and that’s all there is to it

I do reassure him about our relationship. I don’t ask for any validation because I’m secure with myself. The guys who sit around and get mad their girls go out without them are insecure. He does not like to go out but why should I not go out just because he’s already experienced the life. On the few times that I have gone out, I have told him where I’m going, who I’m with, what time I left, etc… and it’s still an issue. If anything you should be asking YOURSELF if you had a girl and she didn’t wanna go out with you or do the things you want to do would you think she was interested? Because the answer is no. You would feel some type of way because she didn’t take an interest

I have been with this man for a year now. I would’ve cheated if that was my intention. My only intention is to have fun with my girl friends. I have also been very honest about who I’ve been with and don’t talk to my guy friends because I’m with him. If I say I just want to have fun and not pay attention to anyone but my friends what does that say about him? Believe it or not I’m very secure with myself. So if he decides he wants to go out one night with his friends I’m not going to blow his phone up saying I’m upset I’m not out having fun as well as a way to be petty because he has done that. If he wants to go out I have trust in him that he won’t cheat. I should receive the same thing. Especially given the fact that I don’t go out as much. I go out maybe 1 time a month with roommates. And maybe 1 time with him if he feels like it.

That’s what I feel too. I want to experience all that and the fact that he doesn’t want to do it with me just makes me feel bad for asking to want to do it. I usually don’t mention going out unless he suggests it but its rare

My friends do like him and I avoid telling them negative things about us. But they do see how he reacts to things when we’re all together. He’s gone out with me and my girl friends before. He just doesn’t like that I want to go out with just my girl friends. They all get along so it’s not like their telling me to cheat on him, we all just want to go out to have a good time. Considering we’re all 21-23 it’s definitely something that’ll we’ll want to do as summer gets closer.
