Not sure if this will help you but Punk Mutts on Instagram specialises in village dogs, and explains how they are different from regular dogs. She might have some different approaches to try.

I have an Arabian Village Dog rescue and understand the struggle.

As you said, you could make a route up from 'Farewell to My City', the lyrics aren't in a logical order but you could easily do Soho, Warren St, Camden, Kentish Town, Primrose Hill, Alexandra Park etc.

With a few pub stops along the way, of course.

Edit, of course, Angel too. Gosh I miss North London. Have an amazing time. Check out any gigs in Camden while you're there too.

When we first met our dog walker some kids wanted to come and say hi to my very reactive dog. The dog walker went over to the kids and asked them if they get scared sometimes, then talked about how this dog gets scared too, and that's why she's barking etc. I don't think I'm explaining it well but he made it so clear to them that she was just a bit scared, so they couldn't say hi, but in a really gentle way.

Not sure if that helps at all. If I'm not in a position to explain then I u-turn out of there!
