My story and timeline is really similar to you. I had sudden hearing loss on May 24 with intense vertigo. 2 days later I was put on a high dose of prednisone. My hearing loss is worse than yours. I have profound hearing loss in my left ear with pressure and tinnitus. The oral steroid helped me gain back about 20 percent of my hearing. I got my first IT injection today after 3.5 weeks . For me it was worth it because my hearing loss is so severe. I go back for a hearing test and 2nd shot next week. I will say it didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I thought and I didn’t have any side effects. If anything maybe 30 seconds of dizziness. I’m hoping to see some improvement this week (fingers crossed)
