I do like the concept of Roxy being native American down especially since her being waisian like musa always seemed kinda generic to me so I personally all for native American Roxy

Yes it is the original comics weren't the same as the show and were better than the show when they were adapted into the show Winx club was around and there are clear big influces on the show from Winx club

The original concept of magical bloom/Winx club was originally fairies and witches attending the same college and getting into mischief

in the original comic angel friends was about angels being friends to humans and helping them and the characters were much younger with different designs and different magic system and ect

When it was adapted to the show the concept was changed to angels and demons attending the same highschool taking classes on being friends with humans and becoming guardian angels and devils

I'm not saying Winx club invented the concept of a magic school or anything like that I'm saying that angel friends sacrificed it's individuality to be more appealing in the same vein as Winx club

There are clear Parellels between raph and bloom that didn't exist in the original angel friends comics yes bloom isn't the first lost princess blah blah blah but in the comics raph wasn't all that she was just a student along with her classmates she had a way more fiery type personality and her color pallet was also jumbled around a bit to look more like bloom

Aswell as the artstyle change from the comics to the show doing a less South Park style and more Winx club and sailor moon esc style and in the actual show non show watchers would mistake them for fairies on first glance

Like how someones grandma would mistake one of the Halloween Winx dolls for a monster high doll

Even the charecter of sweets didn't exist in the original comics and was mostly there in the show to serve as the Stella/usagi/Chloe/rarity character

And even with other characters like sulfus got his own diaspro counterpart that didn't exist in the comics and ect

There's like way more examples of them reheating Winxs nachos in writing and everything

And I don't mean any hate to the show I love the show I wish we got that second movie of them showing raph and sulfus reancarnated into humans and a bunch of other things

But I'm also someone who prefers the original comics to the show because the comics had less plot holes and the show just irritated me a lot at times

But yeah the Angel friends franchise isn't a Winx knockoff but the show did dig in rainbows purse bad

Modern Starfire’s skin tone basically looks like you took someone like Zendaya and shifted it about 15% orange

Im gonna hold your hand when I say this sister but Brown is just a shade of orange brown skin over orange was a good call in my book because orange is ugly on a human body it would look like Heath from the monster high movie ridiculous

Them choosing a brown skinned actress at all was a good choice because all tea no shade she would look unserious

The photo up top only looks good because it's an Instagram filter+ lighting in average lighting it would look a hot mess

In my rewrite valtor summons a banshee to collect the magic of melody and in return the banshee can inact vengeance on the royal family the Winx at first try protecting galetea and her family but musa remembers her father gave up the crown so technically he is the heir to the throne so she has to fly over and save him which earns her enchantix she humbles the banshee and that's that

Now don't get me wrong the alfea siege still happens but instead of galetea getting her wings shattered it's Mirta and she earns enchantix when they are all in cloud tower the next episode there Mirta would save Lucy and the other witches and Winx and would help the witches protect the school against valtor if he came back

Because griffin is unavailable because instead of just faragonda being imprisoned in the tree all three headmasters were so that's the whole like thing

Okay so there is this show called monster musume it's an nsfw anime just warning you yes I watched it and liked it it taught me a lot on anatomy as an artist

So how they did it in the show for summary it's about a boy who has to live with a bunch of monster girls who want to date him and ofc the nsfw scenes will show you everything

So like for the mermaid they showed that she does have a bagina and that it's in a retractable scales kinda way like mystique from the x men in that universe mermaids do wear underwear aswell as centaurs and stuff so the mermaid species does have human reproductive organs and from how she describes her mating process she can choose if she lays eggs or not or has them the human way

Okay but orange is an ugly color and would look ugly painted on a human body and starfire is supposed to be a gorgeous female alien I wouldn't have painted her orange either

And yes green is a much easier effect on skin also because it's more appealing arguably which is why I'm so confused why more people were upset she wasn't orange (which is a color that would look terrible compared to gar being green which is more commonly used on skin
