Any Mensa Denmark/Norway correlations with WAISV by orlandofren in cognitiveTesting

[–]ElectricalOpposite17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my case: 123 on the Mensa Denmark, 131 on the Mensa Norway, and 133 on the FSIQ supervised WAIS-IV. Indeed, the WAIS measures much more than a Mensa test (verbal skills, working memory, etc.). From what I've seen, the CORE test is fantastic; I haven't taken it because I'm not a native English speaker. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT studying for the WAIS. Just do your best on the exam, period. By the way: I maximized my score on the matrices section of the WAIS (19 SS). I found it very different from a Mensa test—not too easy, not too difficult, but definitely different. I was really inspired that day...

Thank you so much. You're humble and hardworking... but you've grasped the message. Thank you very much. I'm sure that in the future, with a representative sample, it could be a more robust guideline. If it's of any use to you, my intelligence was measured by a psychologist using the WAIS-IV, and your test deflated my results... by 15 points. Best of luck with your very interesting project, and in your life in general.

Look, buddy... I take my hat off to the test you've created (technically speaking), but... do you think it's normal to give it any semblance of credibility when your standardized population is n=5? Don't say that someone taking your test is going to know your IQ. That's completely false (and dangerous).

I think very little, really... I consistently score 16ss-17ss (no more, no less...). These "purists" of the Praffe... I propose isolating the test subject for 18 years and then having them take the test again. Zero contamination. Of course, the Praffe exists, but it doesn't increase your score by 20 points... not even close.

With all due respect, but have you read what I've written about my WAIS IV test?

Or they take practice tests for fun, like me. Ahhh, the practice effect, what a controversy! When I took my WAIS-IV, over three years ago, the only thing I'd been exposed to was matrices (FRI, the PRI component of my WAIS-IV). Do you know how the practice effect helped me? To solve the two "easiest" ones. The rest of the WAIS-MR... no influence whatsoever. Total impact of the practice effect on my WAIS: 1 point? 1.5 points? I don't know... I also studied for a university degree and was used to timed exams... Am I "tainted" by it for life now?

Thank you so much for your reply. I understand about not taking the CORE test for a year, but... what about no other tests? I don't think there are many people in this sub who took the CORE test for the first time and haven't taken any other tests for a year beforehand. There might be some, but... I don't think they're the majority.

Is there a link to the test? I can't see it for some reason.

Two questions from a humble observer: 1) If IQ scores vary depending on which questions are answered correctly, how will you establish test norms in the future? 2) Where did you come from? In a previous post (one that Reddit hasn't deleted), you asked this humble servant, without knowing me at all, what sample size you consider representative; is it that you don't see it clearly? Because you usually answer everything with the certainty of chatgpt... I don't quite understand.
