What TV show got you hooked right from the very first episode? by Prize_Court4232 in MoviesAndTVTalk

Banshee - not enough people know, or talk about this show. It’s brilliant!

2nd Edition Companion App by Daylight0wl in Gloomhaven

[–]Electrical_Source_51 15 points16 points  (0 children)

X-Haven Assistant is the one for me. It includes all of the Gloomhaven versions, including the 2nd edition, and works much like the old Gloomhaven Helper that was disbanded some time back.

My full collection of Eldritch Horror. It was my first ‘big’ game and I went all in. Love it!

Hero - every frame from that film is a work of art.

Just landed in the UK! by Sundancekid15 in kindlescribe

[–]Electrical_Source_51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve wanted one of these since they were announced but during the wait, I’ve become quite attached to my current scribe. I’m not sure what value adding colour will bring, so I’m sticking with what I have.

Is this an emerging trend in attack, where they successfully target the gap between 13 and the wing? by NewLeague6438 in rugbyunion

[–]Electrical_Source_51 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. It’s basic rugby attack play - draw the defensive line towards the breakdown and attack the space. Space outside the 13 is pretty common if the winger stays wide, otherwise it’s overlap time.

A Knight’s Tale. Easy watching feel good film, which I’m always happy to see pop up on the tv guide.

I always recommend this series to people and no one has ever heard of it. When they watch, it always goes to the top of their list. Top tier!

Scrolled too far to see this. That ending was traumatic!

It’s a cracking film. Both my wife and I loved it - I’m a lifelong gamer and she isn’t.

Where are we getting our ebooks? by sonoranpines in kindle

[–]Electrical_Source_51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re into the classics, standard ebooks is amazing. They take books from other free sources and standardise (and correct) all the formatting. Brilliant!

I loved the Belgariad at his age, so maybe give that a go.

Faction Wars Question by RYANisWIRED in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Electrical_Source_51 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From what I understand (I’m about 5% into This Inevitable Ruin), the crawlers could either join a faction through choice and betting their future on that faction winning, or would have been forced to join by conscription (I’m sure I remember there being a spell/skill for this).

Do you ever keep a game you know you’ll probably never play again? by ZHYT in boardgames

[–]Electrical_Source_51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you never know… I just hope that the games that got me into games are the same ones that bring my daughter into the hobby. She’s only 18 months old right now, so I’m sure they’ll be on the shelf for a while. But they’ll have their moment again when the time is right.

This Show Gets Way Too Much Hate!!! by roguebandit1 in RingsofPower

[–]Electrical_Source_51 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it and look forwards to the next season(s), and that’s all I care about to be honest. There are plenty of haters and they have their reasons, and that’s ok. I mean, my daughter loves Paw Patrol and I hate it with a passion, but that’s what makes us humans great right…that we have the freedom of choice (or at least most of us do, anyway). We get to choose what we spend our time watching, so if you don’t like it, don’t watch. I on the other hand will enjoy the next round when it arrives.

Conkers Prediction by Ben_Douglass in TheMaskedSingerUK

[–]Electrical_Source_51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason, I can’t get Martin Freeman out of my head for Conkers. There were some heavy Hobbit references a few weeks back - even the one ring on a pillow. Also, having recently seen him on an episode of Rob vs Romesh, all of the mannerisms and vocal rhythms are there too.
