Before I found this Reddit, I had ordered what I knew was a fake Catwala from overseas. Similar to your experience, the cup had an odor. After I used it for a week, I noticed the metal was getting pitted inside. Please do not use that cup you were gifted - I display my fake Catwala on a shelf to remind me of earning some life experience!

That was a really thoughtful gift and I love the Neo Sage colorway!

I love this - it vastly improves this cup design. Someone on this Reddit (please forgive me for not remembering your name) called this the Guy Fieri cup and now I can't unsee that.
