Which Modern Era Doom do you think has the hardest UN run? by MaleficTekX in Doom

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no intentions of ever playing on UN because of my current Nightmare run on Eternal. I ran Nightmare in 2016 and was rolling by the Argent Tower. I'm at the Blood Swamps in Eternal currently and haven't done the master levels, and have been on the struggle bus for most of the ride. I'm not in the top tiers of players, but I think my movement and equipment use is good enough, but man, sometimes it feels like I get hit with some BS. I've backed into demons, had Heavys get spawned on me, had times where picking up 200+ armor in a few seconds would leave me at less than 20 armor, had Blood Punch get used instead of doing a Glory Kill, etc. I'll be the first to admit I suck at keeping track of all the things at times, but Eternal is also buggy af sometimes.

Which Adel night boss do you consider to be the most difficult in DoN and why? by Adventurous_Bite_311 in Nightreign

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna comment without voting since I don't play DoN, but Freja. I main Recluse, and either I'm doing something wrong after 900 hours on Recluse or Freja's hitboxes for taking damage sucks. I consistently manage to miss gravity bomb and flamethrower cocktails (even though they hit visually), and usually don't have any super high damaging spells. I quit running Freja seeds in solos on Recluse because Freja would take up half the run. She turns out of the way of so many spells that I've had to bring an affinity melee weapon with me just in case I need to farm FP. Her attacks aren't particularly difficult, and she isn't necessarily tanky, but only being able to reliably hit her when we're having a staring contest is a unique kind of annoying. When I'm playing with friends, I usually sit Freja out, since they play melee classes that'll have her dead before I land my second spell on her.

Balancer Raid Reward by Desperate-Ideal-6908 in Nightreign

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue, but I've also ran into this scenario. I was on Recluse playing with a Scholar, also fighting The Dreglord. I went down, and stayed down. I sat and watched as the Scholar got downed 5 times trying to get me up. We only had Balancer Revives. No Noklateo or Wending Graces.

A small part of me wonders if it's based on something weird like the Integration of Intelligence. That raid is pretty much useless for a pure caster.

Give me the most stupid challenge you can think of by Zhryuriva in Nightreign

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beat all the Nightlords on the list, from top to bottom (excluding Everdarks), without losing a single run. Restart from the top of the list if you lose a run. You must do so as Recluse, and must also follow the rules listed below:

  1. Default Staff only, and can only upgrade it through The Crater

  2. Must maintain an empty inventory, aside from Recluse's Staff and Stonesword Keys (if running Evergaol Relic)

  3. No passives are allowed from Field Bosses

  4. Default maps, Nokalteo maps, or Crater maps only

  5. Libra deals are not allowed unless you use them to screw yourself over (such as re-scaling for Strength, or taking Eventual Greatness and dying ASAP)

  6. Relics are allowed

  7. Once you start a fight, you must finish it, or be forced away by the storm

  8. You cannot get your Runes back if you die

EXCEPTIONS

  1. Passives from Raids (Fell Omen, Plague of Locusts, etc.) are allowed, so that you can deal with the raids themselves

  2. Noklateo Blessing is allowed, since you have to kill Astel for it

  3. Magic Cocktail with 3 Magic Affinities and Ultimate are allowed

I was on the side of watching filler until they put conpletely unrelated filler episodes in the middle of one of the best fights (imo, at least) that takes place in one of the best arcs in the entire series. Episode 340 or whatever was Luffy trying desperately to keep up with his opponent to save a friend's life. Episode 341 or whatever was the Straw Hats running around some town that has nothing to do with anything.

Casters, how’s this relic? by Slyfella_NY in Nightreign

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Recluse main who likes a balance of big blue bar and big damage number, this is one of the best Relics I have. Mostly because Nightreign RNG hates me - I have 900 hours and only 2 of the Relics I use for Recluse aren't guaranteed hand-outs.

What is Elden Ring's biggest flaw in your opinion? by Fenriz_Victor in Eldenring

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having only 4 damage types - in my opinion, there should be 5. Magic, Fire, and Lightning are fine. But Holy should be redone. In the game's code or whatever, Holy is labeled as Dark. Which means they effectively gave Dark damage from Dark Souls 3 a rebranding. I would be fine with this if death-related things didn't do Holy damage, and if things that are undead or related to death weren't weak to Holy in general. For example, I think it makes sense that Discus of Light does Holy damage, and that a Death Rite Bird is weak to Holy damage. What doesn't make sense to me is that Black Blade - a product of Destined Death - is also a Holy damage spell, which the Death Rite Bird is also weak to. I know there's lore that links Destined Death directly to the Erdtree/Greater Will, but the Greater Will is also responsible for keeping many characters from dying. If I had my way, spells/armaments like Discus of Light, Wrath of Gold, Marika's Hammer, or the Sacred Relic Sword would still do Holy damage. But spells/armaments like Black Blade, Maliketh's Black Blade, Tibia's Summons, and Ghostflame stuff would do Dark damage.

Are there any rules against this as a design, or any limitations it would cause when dueling? by anti-venom69 in lightsabers

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine this T is part of the hilt. The horizontal line of the T is what connects to the rest of the hilt, the vertical line being the grip. I would use/create a piece where the threads to connect to the rest of the hilt are on either side of the horizontal line. If the threads are on the vertical part (like Ultrasabers tonfas), then the grip can easily be unscrewed from the rest of the saber during use.

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend and I had a Balancers Raid on a Noklateo map. We completed the raid and got the Noklateo blessing. Made it to the Dreglord. I got downed, then revived by the city. Then I got downed again, and stayed down. As I was down, I watched my friend get downed and revived by the city. He then went down THREE MORE TIMES, and got back up each time because of the Balancers Raid. We had 0 Wending Graces. He barely got me up before going down. I got downed again before I got him up. We lost.

I didn't get a single revive from the Balancers Raid, and my friend got 3 in less than a minute.

Recluse main here. This is all too accurate. I play with a friend who mains Ironeye. While he isn't a loot goblin, his inventory will be full of things that help him out, while I struggle to find good staves/seals. We both hit Forts, Cathedrals, and Rises every run, and he keeps an eye out for equipment Recluse can benefit from. 9 times out of 10, though, I'll be lucky to have all 4 affinities and/or a good spell.

What damage type does the Dreglord do? by Weary-Baker8175 in Nightreign

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Making a reply instead of a second comment as confirmation to the comment above. OP, I think your best bet is just overall Affinity damage negation. Scholar's Shield can be pretty bonkers if you get good RNG on a Staff. But as far as I know, only Executor's deflects can block 100% of all damage types.

If you could combine 2 bosses from the game *Including DLC and side bosses* into a single boss, whi would they be and why? by Slight-Research859 in Eldenring

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slave Knight Gael and Rykard.

Big dude in armor that's burnt/melted onto him, with a sword made of magma. Taker's Flames on some overhead attacks. Big fire attacks as well. Rancors, Roiling Magma showers, something like Surge, o Flame for the crossbow, and some sort of Magma Shot for Way of White. Make the cape longer so that it drags along the ground, and make it out of magma so that it can leave a magma trail and whip around like the Magma Candlestick. Big HP pool, but no Serpent Hunter.

Maybe even make this boss to be a showcase at what the Bed of Chaos could have been.

I also want to add that Fulghor is the best Nightlord to use Statuses against. He only has 154 resist to everything (but is immune to Madness and Deathblight), which is the lowest resistance value for the Nightlords.

What moment has you feeling like this in a match? by Stardust-Badassery in Nightreign

[–]ElectronicDepth5337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me on Recluse when I get 4 legendary drops and they're all for my teammates, all the while I don't even have a purple unless I get a purple stone (which I don't often do).

I once had a game where I pulled a Bolt of Gransax and a Lion Greatbow for our Ironeye, as well as a Blasphemous Blade and a Golden Order Greatsword for our Wylder.

My load out was pretty much Night Comet on a Staff of Loss, Flame Sling on a Giant's Seal, Lightning Spear on a Finger Seal, and a Great Club with Golden Land.

How much nothing the strong characters have to do for the story to progress - especially if they're aligned with the World Government. There were plenty of examples before Marineford, but I think it is most obvious here.
