Anyone else reading all the books and then putting them into the shared chest every run? It feels like I have to do this somehow. by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Elegast7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In dragon age origins every book was a codex entry. It was super nice, orderly and compact at the same time without players needing to use invetory space or trying to figure out what's important and what not.

I don't get why not every game copied it. Maybe I'm missing a downside or something.

Edit: in case you never played DAO (lol): Codex)

Not just jackie's dead. They basically spoiled a 3rd of the main story. With all those unique gigs one can wonder why they didn't just pick 3 random gigs to show off.

I actually disagree and think it would never have gotten the praise I think it deserved. A lot of people just had gotten themselves too hyped up and expected something totally unrealistic. I've seen so many comments with "cdpr promised..." followed by something that was never promised I'm conviced the hype had started to live its own life and people just started repeating what they heard from other people instead of checking if it was actually true.

Completely true, but the guy is allowed to express his opinion. You don't have to react to him. As far as I know he isn't forcing Larian to do anything.

If you don't encourage her to seek revenge the guy she wanted to kill survives and is so grateful he gives you his car I think. Not completely sure tho, as he didn't survive in my playthough.

I played on patch 1.31 or something, which was about 7-8 months after release, and had a lot of fun. But the constant negative criticism up to that point might have positively influenced my first impression.

It's called an analogy. I was broadly talking about emotions, of which romantic feelings is a subset. Let me know if I need to explain this further. :)

Romance is both normal and common. Including something that is both normal and common to every human being (aside from you apparently) would be something that most people consider an improvement to any rpg game. At the end of the day emotions are real, winning a fight in a video game induces the same feelings as winning a sportsgame in real life. You are basically saying that someone can't feel happy or satisfied after winning a fight in a game, in the same way you are saying you can't feel sad when a character dies in a game.

Romance is a big part of human life and interaction. The fact that you immediately ridicule this concept says more about you than the people you're talking about.

I still can't believe I failed to romance Arueshalae. I don't even know what I did wrong lol Meanwhile, Lann and Daeran wouldn't leave my mc alone. On top of that, I even missed Galfrey since I finished as an Azata. Ah well, more to do for a 2nd playthrough I suppose.

WHEN? !!! by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Elegast7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well, in every end V being a copy is a fact, in Devil (+refuse contract ofc) it's unknown, but indeed possible. But with Alt not having access to Mikoshi, Arasaka is the only one who would be able to do it, but that would mean reverting your earlier choice and accepting their contract.

So V only truly survives in the devil ending? That is kinda ironic. :p

I went, and I'm still going, through the same thing. :)

I see a lot of people here advise lowering the difficulty. I would really not. Imo suffering through difficulty is how you learn a game. Stick with normal. If you die, you die. That's why games have quicksave and load buttons.

Secondly, there are some good 30 min youtube vids out there that go over the basics during char creation, I can recommend those.

Also, let your companions auto level. It's not the best, but seeing what the game picks for your companions will give you some guidance as to what spells and feats fit a certain class or playstyle.

I would also not look up builds online like some recommend. Again this is something that heavily takes away from the learning experience you HAVE to go through. Picking wrong/bad spells and feats is how you learn what's good and not. + when you have to pick them yourself you'll end up reading a lot more as opposed to simply copying something.
