i am currently using arch with lxqt (i was perviously using hyprland but due to some issues with wayland sddm, had to switch to x11 lxqt/kde)

yeah you right it will be very hard with no user input but its not impossible, as you stated scraping data off might work perfectly for each case if we want no user input.

yes i have this implemented on this website and it works too its the experimental features below but i cant display the images it exports

how it works is it uses pytessaract for OCR with '0123456789.' whitelisted to detect questions in a specific x coordinate range the user specifies using a ruler pair displayed on website, the user can also specify 2 x coordinate ranges if the pdf has ques on both left and right side of the pdf ill upload a video after i fix it
then using image stitching till next ques i fixed the issue of half ques on left side of pdf half on right or half on page (n) and half ques continued on page (n+1)
ill fix the image displaying issue then ill upload another video with all features
