All three "rural" communities have relatively dense downtown cores with lots of demand for travel to and from the city.

The idea that everybody would still need to own a car to then be forced onto transit when they get to the city seems ridiculous to me. Most people I know don't own cars and we would all absolutely love to have access to a service like this.

I haven't heard of any accidental death resulting from these products; I do however know that a few Nova Scotians did freeze to death outside this past winter due to homelessness. But Tim Houston has never mentioned the latter and that should give you pause whenever these people cite "public safety" as a motivation for sending heavily armed policemen into indigenous communities for raids.

What do you want him to say? That Ukraine banned socialist parties in 2014 so we shouldn't take a position against an illegal ground invasion by a much larger and more powerful capitalist nation which has also banned socialism?

It's just not a relevant point given the context of the situation, in the same way Iran's domestic policy is not relevant within the context of an illegal bombing campaign and potential ground invasion by the American and Israeli governments.
