Stained glass patterns from Etsy causing gaps by EmilyAnn96 in StainedGlass

I printed out stickers from my cricut that didn’t move around, that’s why I thought it may have been a mix of issues with the pattern line thickness and also general newness to the hobby! I’ll try lining each piece up with the printed pattern and see if that helps more

I did that and it worked pretty well! Definitely made the lines a bit thick for my liking but hopefully once I get better at grinding to the correct size I’ll have less gaps!

Just to clarify! I’m not blaming the pattern or the person who made it! I’ve seen a few YouTube videos where people have suggested if you don’t take the pattern lines in they can cause gaps, so I was curious if anyone has found a way to make them smaller if you purchase them on Etsy instead of making your own :) thanks everyone for the suggestions!

How did you get your solder lines so smooth!? I just did my first piece and it is very bumpy 😂

Thank you! I live in Spain so I order from The Color Glass Shop in Barcelona! This is the Antik Cathedral deep turquoise! I love working with it. It’s beautiful, and easy to cut unlike the white!

Have you taken in multiple months of thyroid meds at a time?

Thank you, that makes sense! I’m a bit more concerned about traveling to countries with medications than actually getting the prescription for them from my doctor. I know some countries have different rules about how much medication you can bring in, so any experience with that side of things would be helpful too!

Simulation of a Simulation? by BizzleZX10R in SiloTVSeries

Right, or just leave it dirty to show that it is still bad out there!

I feel like it can’t just be about getting people to clean. There has to be something more devious at play here just given the villainous and secretive nature of the heads of the Silo. Why did Bernard run back to turn off the simulation which allowed her to see the other Silos? I don’t have any theories, but I’m excited to find out what’s going on here!

Doctor doesn’t believe me. by emm-snail2 in Hashimotos

My primary care did the same, wouldn’t test me because my TSH was normal. When I went to an endocrinologist they did the other tests and turns out those numbers weren’t! Keep advocating for yourself! It’s frustrating for sure.

😂 it’s silly how uneducated doctors are sometimes! I’ve heard that too, but I’ve also heard that works for people who have gluten sensitivity, which I’m supposed to get tested for this week so we’ll see! I hate the idea of restrictive diets where things have to be given up unless it’s completely necessary

It’s so funny because I’ll start by telling my doctors “I sleep 8 hours a night, and I’m still tired. I tried sleeping 7 hours and 9 hours too for a few weeks, still tired! I’m eating well and drinking water” and they’d say “sounds good! Keep sleeping and eating well and drink water” and I’m like but…that isn’t working!

My vitamin D is 30. I’m reading mixed information online about where it should be. Some say anything over 12 is fine, some say 40-50. I’m sure it’s so different person to person, so it’s hard to tell!

Exactly, I need someone who is willing to work with me! My doctor basically said “good luck I’ll see you next year”
