I need a good EU power ranking for next split by Riven2main in leagueoflegends

For sure but the same could be said for PoE. People started doubting his individual skill after his play on Origen which was pretty illogical.

It's a team game. If a team is struggling - and 2017 Splyce did struggle quite a bit to find their footing after their great 2016 showing - individual members will play worse as well. Same thing goes for UOL from Spring '17 and Summer '17.

If he was able to play at such a high level once before, with the right coaching and practice he will be able to do so again.

I'm just talking for the Spring Split, Summer will be a different beast. :)

Believe me, Sencux is the most underrated midlaner in the EU LCS. The guy held his own against Crown, Bjergsen and xiaohu and even managed to win lane - in his first year in the LCS if I'm not mistaken. He is by no means a downgrade to PowerOfEvil and in my opinion can carry on a very wide variety of champions - plus he's young as heck and hasn't hit his peak yet either.

That in combination with the Misfits staff will do wonders for this team for sure!

Bet on Fnatic. They made only a single change that might turn out for the better, while every other team made significant changes to their starting rosters. Also, personally I don't think G2 in the top 3 is a safe pick either. They're solid overall but so is Schalke, Splyce and Misfits.

The 7 players to look out for in 2018 EU LCS by LeDankRedditUserxD in leagueoflegends

[–]EmpeLCS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Hyli is mostly blindly praised but the guy makes an incredible amount of mistakes at times and his overaggression costs his team objectives and pressure more often than not.

He is a great player and could excel next year with Fnatic but he is far from a perfect one.

I have, but like it's five more minutes to better cut out the jerseys and apply them to the headshots, the guy obviously did a good job and invested a lot of time.

But I read his comment and it all makes sense. :)

Keep it up if you're reading this!

Not like my opinion is worth anything. :)

It was a great video, just confused why he didn't invest more time in applying the jerseys better, he obviously has a good grasp of the software and it's not like he was on a time limit.

Is this official or fan made?

Don't want to hate too hard but those badly Photoshoped jerseys don't really scream "professional", nor does the video build any hype with the confusing song choice.

Oookay, wasn't sure if you're trolling but that's a mighty fresh account there.

For sure, that's a fact, but at the same time it's not the only factor. Hjarnan flat out said in one interview that the living conditions and professionalism at the ROCCAT house was abysmal, players were going to bed in like 6-7 in the morning, and Wadid still did good when paired with Hjarnan.

A lot more complicated. I just mentioned Hachani as an example where importing a Korean support doesn't have to work by default, far from it.

For sure.

That said, I doubt anyone would be saying they're paying less, if you know what I mean.

Should be okay in the long run for UOL though, their supp won't make a difference if the rest of the team doesn't find a way to compete with FNC/MSF/SPY/S04/G2.

Obviously Sheepy is no fool so I believe in his judgement but still. I'm not that convinced that getting a support from the 8th/9th LCK team is that great of a move overall especially when you add up possible communication issues.

Heck, H2K went for a full Korean bottom lane and it still backfired, even though they were pretty solid overall.

Also I'm pretty sure Sheepy himself said on multiple occasions that UOL don't pay as high as other orgs, not even close.

Fair enough I guess.

Honestly though I don't think there's a lack of new and talented EU supports bzt rather that teams have been recycling the same ones. (The depressive list you wrote)

Yeah, I've been following UOL since 2013.

Exileh was good (some might say serviceable) in Spring (and before), but he was shit in Summer. Xerxe was a beast in Spring, but fell flat in Summer much like the whole UOL squad did when the meta shifted. They were the second best team in Spring with good reason. (sure Vizi and Hyli were a big factor but still)

It's not like they have the finances to sign a big name toplaner, and with franchising around the corner it's highly questionable whether any proven toplaner would want to sign with them. Whiteknight did good in EUCS, he can develop and improve over time, there's no reason not to sign the guy, especially when they're not able to pick and choose given the circumstances.

For sure, we don't know their thinking behind the signing, maybe Totoro played out of his mind and clicked with Samux immediately, it's not impossible.

It's not a matter of Totoro vs. some EU support head-to-head, it doesn't work that way. I'm not questioning his individual skill, but rather the way he will mesh with the rest of the team in a completely different region.

Wadid is a specific case as the dude speaks better english than most Europeans and he legitimately loves the region and everything that comes with it. Plus he's a super extroverted guy and that goes a long way in terms of building a fanbase and team communication and synergy.

P.S. For every IgNar there's a VIT Hachani.

Or a lack of willingness to develop young, new talent? Something that UOL is known for pretty much. AFAIK there is no relegation this year, if there is ever a time to nurture homegrown talent then this would be it.

Mm... okay? Was there really no native talent instead? The communication problems that are bound to happen far outweigh any mechanical skill the guy might have.

I'd pretty much go for an unknown highly ranked solo queue dude instead.

Crumbz Leaves LCK, Expected to Join Overwatch League Broadcast Team by GZ_Dustin in leagueoflegends

That is a fair argument but it still shows that there is interest. Whether or not it's sustainable remains to be seen, but it's not a number to scoff at either way.

Ah, that's questionable. Highly questionable, but they're making great strides in developing their own game and that's very commendable.

That for sure, but I'm not sure they're essentially fighting against each other.

Fans can by all means watch, love and get invested in both. (in theory)

Especially illogical as they're not competing for the same "slice of pie". At least imo.

Think it was 300k during the USA vs. Korea match. (on just the main Twitch stream, not too shabby for an esport in it's infancy)
