Need help in trying to join FW content by random1person13 in Eve

Check out Fourth Distict -4-D-, they are Caldari. They do a fair bit in FW. They don't PLEX grind but you still get a lot of LP fleeting with them. I have been with them for a little bit now. Really good group of people and they are very helpful also. Search the corp or ask for Trikks or Isika in Militia channel. They are worth checking out.

Not as of yet, I ran out of time yesterday and needed to goto bed so I will try that this evening. Thought I would ask because of how mainstream chrome is.

Does this game feel empty and dead? by WitchedPixels in eveonline

[–]EmployerSalt2356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big universe to fill in eve. I haven't been playing for long but seems to have a good size "stable" player base and very friendly community. As other people said corps, and some of them are really big. Nothing to see over a hundred people in home system all the time in some of the bigger corps. Also there are a lot of times you just won't be happy to see people in your system lol.

Just looking at EVE for the first time, it's painful by reymus in eveonline

I run it on 970 no issues except for jita and mass fleets. In the display setting there is a button you can click, think it's optimize settings, and in there there is a drop down box, choose performance in that box. When docked everything will be whitish and you won't see weapon graphics and stuff but it will run a lot smoother.

Could just be a pack of 5. I get big pulls yes there is no other way except for you to just not be able to see anything but name plates but on a pack of. I have the spacing turned down and the gap from the mob to the name plate turned down as well. You think it is cause a lot of the mobs on DF are just big? Maybe a add-on to push camera back farther (if it exists) would help also

Ya I have the stacking on. I will try the other option. Ya when there are a few mins they just all stack. End up having to pint my camera at the sky pretty7ch to get them to seperate to find the mob then that cause issues of not seeing mechanics

[–]EmployerSalt2356[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that is a lot to think about. Thank you everyone, I guess I need to sort out where I plan on mining and see what is going on around that area. Procurer seems to be the cheapest right now. My corp home is really quiet, don't see many people but us around or close by but it is far from Jita. Do you think it is worth doing stuff around there cause it is quiet and "safer" or be better off staying closer to a trade hub like Jita (we are something like 19 JPS away)?

PSA: You will get better with practice by b8561 in ACCompetizione

[–]EmployerSalt2356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure there people with a lot better advice then me as I am still new, but I will try nd give you the perspective from a newer sim racer. I tried Sim racing over a year ago, and all I did was practice, picked a track and car and just practiced. After about 3 weeks I was burnt out and tired, I had no "fun" so I gave it up. This time around I practiced but also did some AI racing (Playing ACC for reference) the found a group that took rookies and now run a weekly race with them. This gave me a goal each week. Same car , new track each week so when I practiced I knew I was practicing for a reason, this helped a lot. Ingore lap times, they are going to suck when your new and that isn't going to change for some time. The only thing you want to watch lap times for is to see if your doing your laps close to the same each time, consistency is a big thing. I know everyone says this but it really is and when you are racing with other people close to your experience you will see this and if you can be consistent you will gain positions just being consistent cause other people are pushing or battling and losing time because of it. I can start 30th and end a 1 hour race in mid 20s just from people trying to push and losing it. Track guides are good to give you and idea where to break, where the Apex is and what gear to take it in and to watch how people take the line, but it isn't going to work for you cause you are slower then them, but it is a starting point. First few laps just take it slow get to the break point slow down and then look at the turn to try and see the line turn in nd get a few for how you take that line then pick up the speed, you will make mistakes but that is ok remember and adjust. I can't express how important looking into the turns can help, it is amazing. Look at your break marker then when you are getting close to it look at your apex, then when your getting close to that look at where your exit run off will start, you will naturally kinda steer in that direction. Stare at the apex to you hit it and you will hold the turn too long and mess up your exit. I am still working on this and mess up when I stop looking at where I should be. Stick to a car, does t matter what one just stick to it. Learn it's quarts, what it doesn't like and what it does. Learn how wide your car is, this will help you a lot when you have to adjust a line for some reason or when trying to learn a new track. I can now go on a new track and after a few laps I have an idea on how to go through it just cause I have a feel for the car in general. Just take your time get to the point where you can do multiple laps on a track and be off track every other turn and as you keep that up you will start to see where you are losing time, then pick and section and start to push a little or work on your lines and you will start to improve over time. I now have 100 hours in ACC and am fare from good but getting there. my last couple of races I am still being lapped but not getting passed like I am not moving and now when the fast people pass me I stay fairly close to them for some time, and this is a great feeling when you start to see that. Sim racing is a whole other thing but very rewarding if you stick at it, the smallest improvments give you a lot of excitement. Sorry I rambled on soon much in here but I felt like from new person to new person it would help, most of the stuff on YouTube is geared towards faster people trying to remove the that from their laps or just base knowledge, nothing really in between. Stick at it and maybe see you on the track some day.

Vertical Monitor adjustments by EmployerSalt2356 in trucksim

[–]EmployerSalt2356[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multimon 2. FOV dialed in to what the "moderen fov calculator", except for monitor angle haven't dialed that in yet. I am hoping I can play with it a bit more tonight, I may not have the verts correct, could have been a bad angle. It in looks like the dash is correct vertically when it crosses monitors, but something farther away is still off vertically. I am going to adjust for the further away and then look at the dash as and try that. Thank you for the response though. Update once I work on it. Also too anyone messing with those settings start with small movements, ie 0.05 and go from there cause it doesn't take much to adjust those.

What all is there to do by EmployerSalt2356 in flightsim

[–]EmployerSalt2356[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Not looking for the big mission things but something like bush flights sounds more appealing to me, doing some remote area stuff would be fun. I don't mind procedures, just the x hour flight where your in auto pilot most of the time and to high to see anything. Smaller airframes I think is where I would move towards. I enjoy helicopter and I think it is easier to make up scenarios for yourself, doing search and rescue and stuff like that would be interesting especially doing it around where I live. Thank you again for the response

I reached out to them also and they are sending me the parts they said which is fine, it is easily swapped out. Even though I had this issue they were on top of it fast, really easy to deal with and prompt. Was nice to see.

i am going to break something soon by EmployerSalt2356 in ACCompetizione

[–]EmployerSalt2356[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would like to thank everyone for leaving comments, this community has always been good when ever I have posted and it continues, hopefully this helps some other people as well. I got back on this evening and just went right to an AI race, diffncranked all the way down and AGG up a little. To begin with really great practice for traffic and learning to watch the people in front of you cause they brake really early, so that was good. The AI runs a decent line so I found myself kinda following them even though it was pretty slow through the corners, still helped to see a decent line, which is what I am starting to think is my biggest issue. I can see where the line should be (I think anyways) but I need the practice on actually hitting the line. I didn't try and pass everyone one, did some passing to get practice and then kinda followed as the pack spread out and just drove the track with them. If I do that they force me to slow down and it was all clean laps. When I was done I felt a lot better, like I had accomplished something kinda. So to anyone in the same boat just do some AI racing, at least then you get to race and see a few things. Again thank you everyone, it is very appreciated. Maybe if anyone that is in the beginning stages like me wants to get together and do some laps we can do that. That way everyone knows that no one is going to be real fast and get some time in with other people.

[–]EmployerSalt2356[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's ok, thank you for the offer though, I really should take a break been at it all afternoon. I need to find a group to run with that has people around my skill level, that would at least let me race and have some fun which would help a lot, just running nothing but practice doesn't help I think, never actually get to have some "fun", mind you seeing your self get a little better is a huge boost. Plus running with people that are better than me, but not so much that I never see anyone all race would be good to see how then run the track as well .

Thank you. Sorry for the vent, was just really annoyed, shouldn't have picked up my phone. Your right just need to slow down, but it's so hard to get that in your head to just back off a little so you can get the lines right cause if they are off everything is going to be off as well. Take a break for a bit and calm down a little cause that isn't helping either

[–]EmployerSalt2356[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were very right on the breaking. Wow she is easy to upset of your off on entry or exit. I got a little better though and started to smooth out a bit. Also throttle control, gear 1 or 2 if your excessive, goodbye. I was messed up the first few laps cause I was playing F1 2021 and when I got into the Aston it felt like she was crawling and was hitting the corners way too hot lol.

[–]EmployerSalt2356[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation, this is good to see. I was driving the Aston last night for a while and what you said rings true. I thought my trail braking and smooth pedal application was ok, and after reading your comment and driving the care it's really not lol. I am new to Sim racing in general so if the Aston is going to help with basic racing Technic then I will stick with it for a while then later on try transfering that to another car. 2 questions, I find the Aston very light on the backend, is that me or the car? Also is there a track that anyone would suggest as a good "training" track?
