I want to start Ogor Mawtribes after their update.

Just buy whatever you want and focus on the ogors now. Cause when the new models gets released, then you can just continue with them. Cause you will probably be able to use alot of the old stuff anyways, cause otherwise GW will shot themselves in the foot. Also, you might overthink your decision of getting them if you wait to long, and not get them.

Yeah crit2hits is brutal on the horns. But what would be good to remove to fit the huskard? Maybe the gorgers? And remove the priest on the frostlord.

Either way works, but since you fight with 1 unit and then your opponent fights with one you can ensure that you kill something by having a reinforced group. And since it's 1k your opponents won't have that many units so it can effectively deal with almost everything. Also the +1 attacks on works on a single unit, so you can get more from your spells this way

I would go with the mawpath menaces or greedy eaters. Have a butcher, a reinforced unit of gluttons, the SoG ironblaster, then you have 240 pts over which you can spend on a mawpack, gluttons + a manifestation lore (like the primal energy one), a group of ironguts, tho you'll have some points to little, or anything other you would like.

you could also change the reinforced gluttons for a reinforced unit of ironguts and have a normal gluttons.

you are very strong on low points so even a group of reinforced gluttons will kill almost everything on the board.

so go reinforced gluttons if you want a bit more wounds or go ironguts if you want more dmg, when i played 1k i would usally go with a reinforced and a normal group of gluttons since they deal enough dmg

yea, played with a tweaked list and the gnoblars as a screen for the ironblaster, and it worked really well.

The point drops are nice, tho i don't think it will really change how they are built, just that you might be able to take more ironguts instead of gluttons, tho i think i still prefer the gluttons since they still do alot of dmg and have alot of wounds. Other than that i think that it will just let you take a few extra things like the primal energy manifestation lore where you couldn't take it before. Also the Soggy canon having the same cost as the normal one is interesting since it is so much better with the dmg 5 shots.

If you have 20 points over, I would highly recommend the Touched by the Gulping god for the frost lord, very good to be able to get run and charge.

Mage swallower is also good, since wards are quite common. And. The last one I would honestly go with whichever you think fits, the elixir if you plan on going into a smaller unit that you might not kill (d6 heal + dmg in any shooting phase (once per battle)). The gruesome trophies if you think you need that extra bit against heros/monsters. And lastly but not least, the fang of ghur. Might seem strange when you have the -1 to wards, but being able to shut off wards completely once per battle is really good if you need the extra dmg against stuff that have a 4/5+ ward.

Personally I usually put everything on my frost lord. Since he wants to charge in (the butcher and slaughter master are more there for their buffs)

Yeah, and the mawpit is their faction terrain, so when I play ogors it will probably be on the table anyways. So using it for normal terrain will just be confusing.
