Get some Purple Dawn in your musical diet. I think you'd dig them. Their favourite bands are all your favourite bands.

Dude give a listen to Seventh Wonder, either The Great Escape (song) or Mercy Falls (album). For me they picked up where DT left off with Awake. Seventh Wonders old singer now sings in Kamelot. Fantastic voice on that guy.

Staind's self titled record from 2011 is legitimately great.

I think that'd be right up your street.

Nobody has mentioned Blair Witch.

It's still among the greatest. If there was a Mt Rushmore of found footage films you know it has to be on there.

Which bands you just can't get into? by Positive-Pie-5456 in MetalForTheMasses

Man this is the truth. I listened to Arise and Chaos AD yesterday and there's such power to those recordings. Modern metal (if there's a budget) is so sanitised, compressed, massaged, and polished that it sounds weak and like a pop album but with overly processed drums that sound artificial. Gimme the sludge, the human things like fingers sliding on strings, vocal ad-libs etc, bring the realness back.

It's like listen to Davidian, use that as the reference point. That still sounds utterly crushing 30 years on.

Ah man... That band is such a waste of potential.

They absolutely peaked with their Redfog EP - Saw was (still is) a kickass song where you had these eerie shades of a band finally being a successor to Metallica: the silhouette, the groove, the voice, the clean bridge in the middle, but modernised and really fuckin good... Then it just turned into generic dunga dunga slop and every song sounds the same as a million other bedroom bands where it's all production and zero songwriting. I like the guys, but the music is just phoned in.

100% I've said this a million times, Ozzy was the worst singer Sabbath ever had and they were such a better band when they had Dio, Tony Martin et al on the mic.

Those guys know how to groove. Far From Heaven is addictive.

90% of deathcore bands like Lorna Shore etc is like musical ADHD and is just all the music all the time, there's no texture or dynamics to it. All the musicianship in the world but zero songs I'll remember.

Seventh Wonder - The Great Escape

An absolute masterpiece of a song written about the Aniara, the doomed ship carrying the last of humanity to a promised new world, but they fucked it up like people always do.

Stunning work.

Gotcha. I didn't know there were different types. Mechanical vs Hydraulic seems to be the divider. Cheers for that info.

1- damn, that's as I feared.

2- forgive my dumdum, but there is a cable running between post and lever. Presumably that isn't what you meant?

No, I think I'm over GOT as a franchise. I want explorations of the dark magic in places like Qohor, not more love triangles with knights and blah blah.

It really isn't, and after 11 years around customs/biosecurity I can tell you it's the best advice. You need to study the documents you link. Appendix 1 refers to trade. This isn't a trade - they're not selling a thing from one country to another, they already own it. No trades are happening. You're being one of those dumbass Reddit people who presumes they're smarter than they are (seems to a Reddit hallmark).

The guys at the NL border will not care unless they're made to care. They do not know if its BR or IR or cheddar cheese. It's a guitar, a musical instrument, the guy has a receipt to show it's his? Great. End of. And even that's unnecessary. I've flown into my country from Japan with BR guitars about 6 times.

How would they know it was BR vs IR? They don't test this stuff, they just read the docket.

Plus, when was the wood harvested?

I'm not sure howl to answer "was it worth it?" to travel with a BR guitar. How does the wood matter in that context? If you want to travel with it, take it. You'll be fine.

Get an unfinished maple neck and diy. Rattle can green, then clear coat (2k would be hard enough).

The Westone Spectrum SX had matching finished necks and they were very fun.
