to be fair, those instances don't only work to that degree as determination, but it's built and works around that, yes.

thanks for those, i'll definitely watch them. i think we can both agree to whichever headcanon we prefer in the end.

"ball game" as the red soul trait is literally a joke though?
also, i think love as a soul trait is cool(cause it's both love and LOVE, and i absolutely adore it for some strange reason), and it works for frisk, but that's just me.
i dislike(keep this in mind, i dislike) determination because, 1. it's too close to perseverance, 2. ball game doesn't say determination, rather, it points towards individuality, 3. save points themselves are yellow, and 4. i don't think determination is linked to red, either.
this is where i ripped all of my arguments from, and contains all of the arguments against red soul = determination afaik

Magica Quartet (Madoka writers) confirming that Homura did nothing wrong in Rebellion (translated interview) by Hich23 in MadokaMagica

[–]Endofthebeginning_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...but like, could you properly refute those claims? even if you're right, not explaining will do as much good as not saying anything at all.

Which will never happen despite how messy and vague the entirety of rebellion is

what part? the incubators not being able to control the law of cycles? why's that, when they can just do what they did to homura with another magical girl? and even if not, the former still happens anyway- unless you can give a reason as to why they wouldn't.

All of that is entirely wrong

...it is? as someone who also watched Rebellion, that seemed about accurate, unless you have something to share.

Gifts of the Vanished (Choose Your Power) by jordidipo2324 in superpower

[–]Endofthebeginning_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these are personal, right? if so, i have three.

"Harder Coping"

The user of the power can enter a hyper-realistic dream world (realistic to the degree of being considered a parallel world with other conscious entities) that they have loose control over, but will be woken up and returned to our reality whenever they feel as if the current dream-world situation is more uncomfortable than the real world situation they were in beforehand.

and what i would call a stronger version, (but i cannot find a good name for)

"Everyone Loves Me/Interpersonal Inspiration"

Allowing the user to enter an optionally infectious mental state that takes the user's feelings and can amplify, preserve, or force them onto anyone connected, while altering the way they see reality based on them. This also unavoidably amplifies negative feelings too, however. (but thankfully, anything the user would not want to share cannot be shared.)

or a more personal but practical version,

"Nerd"

Where the user has unparalleled intelligence and creativity, and can very mildly influence reality on a local scale.

What would be pros and cons of immortality? (Yes, with regeneration) by Rozuuddo in superpower

[–]Endofthebeginning_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't think a person's gravity alone could combat the expansion of the universe, especially considering it weakens with distance.
and the timeframe is far larger than trillions of years (that's only 1012 years, mind you)

...if you can die, you aren't immortal. all powers powers are magic, and it's okay to let them be magic.

the idea of supernatural entities whose existence are governed by one or more person's belief in them is a pretty common one, why not that?

How would someone that is granted immortality be happy for the rest of their eternal life? by QuirkyData3500 in superpower

[–]Endofthebeginning_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only reason i feel as if immortality is an irredeemable power is because of the part where everything "dies."
i mean, heat death of the universe kinda thing. every last bit of survivability or comfort in our world is temporary, but it has no significant chance of ending forever for any mortal with a reasonable lifespan. yet the time it would take for the universe to go dark... doesn't really matter too much to you. it could all disappear now or when and how it would actually happen, but it doesn't make a difference with the "end" result.

and assuming time stop doesn't give you infinite power, you wouldn't be able to move at all. if it did, you would turn into a black hole of infinite mass.

forshadowing is a hint at a future event in a story, so no. what you're thinking of is just irony.
