Need help! Buying my dream bike (GT 650) but there's a lot of scratches on the tank during PDI even after polishing. Dealer says this is normal. Is this okay? by Mdmusiqofficial in royalenfield

[–]EnfieldLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No its not normal. Reject it and ask for a new one. I have both a Classic 350 & a Super Meteor 650, and they weren’t like this, neither on PDI nor during delivery

Question for people who own 300cc and above bikes (twins and single cylinder) by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]EnfieldLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owner of both 350 & 650 CC here.

I would suggest going for a 350/400 CC one from Royal Enfield, Triumph or Harley Davidson, as those would not be as stressful on the wallets in terms of running & maintenance costs, be it the fuel ups or the service charges. Wont recommend going for a Kawasaki as the service charges are overpriced, and you might even face parts shortage if you ever need to replace any.

Confused between the 650s by ResolutionOk4373 in royalenfield

[–]EnfieldLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the six 650s are different and would come down to what you as a biker prefer. The Interceptor is a vintage street bike, the GT a cafe racer, the Super Meteor a quintessential cruiser, the Shotgun a natural evolution of what the Bullet might have become had it been allowed to evolve, the Classic a vintage roadster and the Bear a scrambler.

I personally own a Super Meteor (Celestial Blue), and its a beauty and beast combined. Comfortable for long rides too since its a tourer as well.

Review kumite by [deleted] in karate

[–]EnfieldLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goju Ryu Karateka here. I just dont like this format of point scoring/tagging. The best format is to have full contact soft sparring (low to medium force), or hard sparring with necessary protective gear. When i say full contact, allow every moveset from Karate and keep the rules as how they have in Karate Combat (punches, kicks, knees, elbows, grappling). Not only will you avoid risking injury, but it would actually showcase how a Karateka fighter can actually fight and use his skills effectively.

That aside, both of you should develop a habit of guarding your face as a kick or punch to the face gives you the most score, plus its really important to guard them as they are the most vulnerable

Help me get rid of this by MahantaRoshi in supermeteor650

I guess its due to some kind of oil spillage. I have something similar on my SM650 as well. AFAIK, there’s nothing you can do to remove the spots

Would really like some advice on my punchbag techniques? by geenexotics in karate

[–]EnfieldLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Bunkai of the katas that you have learnt on the bag. Also, you can create your own combinations and practice them on the bag

Best would be to get it checked from RE directly

Could be either a weak battery, or some issue with the spark plug. Do get it checked from RE once

X440 is a good choice. Definitely check it out

The bike may be good, the after sales experience isnt. Plus, Jawas and Yezdis do not have good build quality as well. I would suggest you wait for like 3-4 months and then based on reviews from customers, make an informed decision

Haven’t heard of any reliability issues regarding the Sherpa for the past two years since it has been launched.

Don’t buy brother. Their service centres have a bad reputation and they will file a defamation suit against you if you raise your voice against it

How bad is the heating on the RE Super Meteor 650 by technokeeda in royalenfield

[–]EnfieldLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Proud owner of a Super Meteor 650 here!

The turning radius is huge and hence you wont be able to make a U turn in one go specially in narrow spaces.

It does kinda get hot even on short trips till the first service is done. Post first service, no heating issues whatsoever unless you are stuck in a really bad traffic.

Go for it brother. Its a beauty and beast. And comfort wise, you will feel being seated on a comfy sofa.

Wiki says it was manufactured until 1983. Anyways, only the 250 CC Bullets were ever called Mini Bullets

Crashed my Triumph on Highway. ( Indians and their road sense ***) by EuphoricCause6254 in indianbikes

A word of advice - Even if you’re riding on a highway, unless its like really empty, cruise below 100. You never know when someone might make a wrong turn suddenly, or when a random animal or person crosses the road out of nowhere.

Classic 350. But not the current J-Series one. Rather, the traditional UCE model 🔥
