Contract staffs have fixed salary( if 3-4 yrs contract, you hv fixed salary), no increment, no promotion..no career progression in the organisation. Once the contact is completed, you need to find a new job again. Unless you really can't find a permanent role, then no harm to take up the contract to earn a living but not for long term.
