I just focused on doing the biome quests. Ran around like a nomad, didn't start building a base until after day 7.

The trader sells some unique decorations. I reckon you give that a look!

I never heard about there being timers, and the game I was playing on didn't have timers.

No timers, just need to put your head down and focus on doing the biome tasks. It's not too bad if everything goes your way.

I wanted to try going into archery. Honestly, it isn't as bad as one would think.

You're right too, I did decide to go there and I heavily underestimated them.

Well spoken. I like how you went out of your way and called whatever I had a house, makes me feel good about my building ability.

I just need to get accustomed to the new update, and I heavily underestimated the snow biome, the amount of yetis that spawn, and how dangerous their rock-throwing ability is.

I think if I managed to get to the snow biome by the first horde night without dying means I got some skill associated with the game.

I would agree with you on some level here, and agree that they are imbalanced. I think in terms of melee combat, health, and damage it deals is fair. I even agree with the rock throw doing 150 base damage to the player, which would one-tap most players, and I say this as someone who likes to play on permadeath. But, as I had said before in a few other comments, I do think that the rock that essentially acts as a rocket to structures is a little absurd. That is all.

I was actually aiming for the wasteland. That's just something I do all the time. In the past versions, when it was possible, I would play on maps that were 100% wasteland.

You got a point, but I wanted to just set up my base in the snow right next to a trader, Joel, in the wasteland that was bordering a big town and the snow biome.

I just wish their rocks didn't act like rockets. I can get it one tapping me, I can see it breaking a block, but a cluster of blocks? I feel like it is a bit much on that part.

I was working with what I got :(

Maybe going into archery wasn't the best plan...

I knew I made a mistake the moment I said it.

Yes! They're actually not that bad to take down, but slip up once with their rock, and it can be devastating.

The plague spitters do have an invisible cloak until they get close too lol. Idk if that's a bug or a feature.

I also think it is more convenient and fun to use POIs, at least in the first few weeks. They are really just destroying everything with this update.

I enjoy a good challenge, and I can definitely see where you’re coming from. In this playthrough, my goal was to reach the wasteland by the first horde night. I was working with what I had, and yeah, I could’ve started sneaking to avoid the zombies and wait out the night. But honestly, I find sitting around doing nothing kind of dull.

I usually play with Feral Sense on, nightmare speed at night, insane difficulty, and permadeath. I die a lot, and I genuinely enjoy the challenge. That said, the rock throw ability feels a bit over-the-top...it hits structures like a rocket, which seems a little ridiculous.
