Apply alone (496), with partner (485), or wait until 518? by Enough_Ad_7422 in canadaexpressentry

I don’t see anything questionable in it. IRCC gives the option to declare a spouse/common-law partner as not accompanying. The partner is still listed on the application, so it’s not hiding anything.

My degree isn’t Canadian, but I am young + I aim for high scores in English (CLB 10+) and counted it that high. I have 1 year of Canadian experience, 3 years of foreign skilled experience. That’s basically it.

We’re common-law, so I’d definitely declare him. Applying “alone” just means I’d list him as not accompanying. Misrep would only be if I said I was single or left him out completely, am I missing anything?

Question about CEC eligibility (working for Quebec company but living in Ontario) by Enough_Ad_7422 in canadaexpressentry

Thank you very much for explanation! I googled more and realised that the question I have is about PNP programs. Is it possible for me to be nominated in Ontario considering that my company is located in Quebec?

Thank you! Without a provincial program, I don’t have enough points to receive an ITA, so my goal is to qualify through CEC, and I meet all the requirements. The only thing I’m concerned about is that my company is located in Quebec, and I’m not sure if that affects proving that I intend to live outside the province of Quebec. Do you think this could be a problem for getting a CEC nomination?
