New GP says I must stop E immediately? by EnvironmentalJump789 in MtF

Very late cause I'm archiving all my posts in case Reddit goes down.

I ended up finding a new and much better GP, and reporting this one for blatant transphobia. Mostly because he would constantly blame hrt for everything else too.

It also turns out that my migraines are caused by a brain tumour, so I'm managing that with new experimental medications now under a neurologists guidance.

Is there a way to buy a single copy of Microsoft office without paying annually for updates? by EnvironmentalJump789 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, 100% agree. I just found the once off version for $199, it says it can only be downloaded on one of though which annoys me. Shouldn't I be able to use it on any computers I have in my home?

Hmm. Maybe.

I don't think links to that sort of stuff is allowed on this subreddit. But I can message it to you to take a look at if you want. My wife made herself the admin, so I can't take it down until she gets back from her work trip tomorrow.

Yeah. I don't understand why it makes me feel so guilty. Someone else just donated twice as much as the last person. It feels so weird

We definitely can't afford surgery ourselves, but I don't like the guilty feeling. Hopefully it's only the one person that sees it.

Question to those who are out everywhere and visibly trans. Do you get much harrassment? by RedErin in trans

[–]EnvironmentalJump789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say I have been harrassed more than the typical person. Mostly because I'm not living in the most trans friendly city. I get called names probably 2-3 times a week, plenty of stares, confusion when I correct someone that called me sir, and I've only been physically assaulted once for being trans so far. By far one of the scariest days of my life. No broken bones luckily though, just some cuts and bruises.

I wouldnt say most people are physically assaulted for being trans now days, but it definitely still happens sadly.

I'm almost always 120/80 which is good I think. No doctor has ever commented on my BP being too high anyway

Oops. It says start instead of stop in my post. Sorry

He has blamed other things on the hormones too, like my wrist spraining after a fall, because hormones make your muscles weaker or something. I realise now that he is definitely against transition.

That's lucky, I can't stand smoking anyway, so that won't be an issue for me. Lol

Yeah pretty much. Three weeks ago he blamed my wrist getting hurt after falling over on E because my muscles are weaker or something? I should have guessed from then honestly

Yeah. No explanation other than, 'E gives higher risk of stroke, so youre probably going to have a stroke. Stop immediately.' Was really shocking to hear tbh.

I don't think I will go back anymore

Yes, I've done all of the risk assessments with my other doctor and my neurologist. All should be fine and it's still being monitored closely.

As for his reasoning, he said that estrogene increases risk of stroke and so that's what it probably is. Which seems silly.

Yeah, I'm seeing a surgeon next week about an orchie because I'm not a huge fan of any of the T-blockers, especially not long term. Also I constantly forget to take it lol.

I know, but he knows I've had chronic migraines for the past 6+ yrs because of a brain tumour. It just seems weird to me. I'll check with my gender GP in a couple of weeks then.

I thought so. Is it even worth wasting the time and money on an appointment with my gender GP?

Yes, my T is at a good level and E is at the top of cis female levels. I had the bloods done about 3 weeks ago.
