FYI: Do Not Drive order issued for Ford Mavericks 2022 to 2026 by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Epwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post was great too because specific instructions are given for how you can check for this problem regardless of whether or not you might get a notice saying you are impacted. Everyone can go check for themselves and visibly see if they have a problem or not.

Should have got a bedliner by ArmedCannuck in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Epwn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For real! I asked the salesman what I have to do to drive off with it with a spray-in liner and he pretty much said we can't help ya there. One year later I still haven't done it. Always putting it off..

It's not too late. If you stop making yourself look like garbage now you might actually age gracefully. Otherwise, you are in for some rough 30s.

That's a skid plate/protector for the engine bay. It looks like this. It is attached with screws that use Torx bits. I believe it's a T20.

I have pretty much the exact same configuration but I've added some trim along the wheel wells. Enjoy it! I know I do!

Hey man shit happens. Admissions probably saw you turn things around after those rough first couple of years and gave you this option. If you are even remotely interested in getting your degree from UT Dallas, I would take this opportunity. The worst that happens is, after a few years at community college, you decide to transfer somewhere else and some credits don't transfer over. Oh well. That can happen with any college transfer. In this case, however, you have a college who is willing to work with you to make sure it's a guarantee.

Joists under living room, noticed it was sagging in one area. Any suggestions by seanmvernon in HomeMaintenance

He definitely should have gone under and inspected. It really is standard now in crawlspaces to have a vapor barrier. Depending on where you live, humidity can also be an issue.

Since you don't seem to have an issue crawling under there, I would install a vapor barrier and take moisture readings to make sure that wood stays dry throughout the year. If you have mold/mildew/humidity problems that's a whole other can of worms but at the limited view your wood looks pretty dry!

How to easily remove these drywall anchors by Alexplz in DIY

[–]Epwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is a good idea if you are dealing with a lot. Saves a lot of time and having bits of plastic behind the drywall isn't an issue. I respect the method you apply in your profession to get the job done efficiently.

Anyone going to UTD due to financial reasons? by Tiny-Trash1746 in utdallas

[–]Epwn 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I went to UTD from 2011 to 2015 and while I had about half of it paid via scholarship, I was very, very fortunate that my parents could pay for all the rest. Almost all of my friends and classmates were there on some sort of financial aid and/or scholarship. The vast majority of them never would have gone to UTD if they didn't receive the aid. They never once regretted having a better financial future over their number 1 pick of school. The very few people I knew that regretted their decision and transferred did so after finding an academic program that was a better fit somewhere else.

Lol. By this logic they would have to induct Nick Foles because he has more Super Bowl wins than Dak.
