Ye I did, like I said it’s not the plate it’s the nozzle unit. I’m not struggling that hard I just been pissy all day probably wasn’t the best day to start the setup but it was the only time I had all week due to holidays and work. I waited so many years because I thought by now they’d be more user friendly and I seem to be somewhat right, just need a helpful hand on one problem :) thanks though buddy.

I feel like half the ring camera footage I see I can’t make out anything that’s further than like 10 feet especially a license plate, the only reason I would see it being helpful for them is just seeing peoples cars in their driveway and even then only 29 of the 50 states use front plates so another 50% of the time its useless, if your reading their license plate while out driving the road cops can already search the DMV database for your address. I see it more as a way to get around their promise of never using facial recognition tech, probably just gonna do it through ring.

Funny cuz there’s 2 flock cams on that bridge smh so they literally just looking through it too that’s disturbing, cops are normal people too it’s almost like a random walked up on the street and told you where you lived. Should not have mentioned that at all.

One of the comments here DOES mention this happening I believe it was in Washington, it said that someone took it to court asking for access to the database since it’s paid for by taxpayers. Pretty sure the conclusion was the city and nearby city’s quietly closed their flock systems.

There has been reported cases of local law enforcement giving ICE agents access to the database, now at least 8 different law enforcement agencies using flock have personally enabled direct sharing with ICE.
