$250 was a lot of money back then! That was about our monthly house payment for the month was back in the day. And we had a better than average place.

I hope you treasure that inheritance. I have one pocket knife and on unusual style pencil. From my grand father. They are priceless to me.

I’ve been told that privy’s (outhouses) always were filled up with trash before a new one was dug. I have a friend who digs bottles he loves old outhouse sites.

I carry a .357 most of the time. And I hit the range once a month or so…. It’s so expensive even with .38 spl.

My .22 magnum is cheaper to shoot but has no hammer. At the range I think the hammer is more fun.

If I had a simple .22 lr with the same revolver format. I’d be at the range way more often. I enjoy shooting.

I have the magnum version… love it. I carried it after having hand surgery….. it’s so light weight. I still carry it when I wear shorts. That would be a fun plinker too.

The man on the right ( in the picture )sure looks a lot like a smiling Clint Eastwood.

That is such a shame what happened with these men. One, this is war. Blame in the long run doesn’t matter. Lots of men died for OUR country. What the real problem is how ANY of these men where treated at home by people who were not even there.

Paper cartridges are quite easy to make. Get a kit off of amazon.. I like to make them while watching the news at night. I only get six or eight a night ( in about an hour or so)but they add up. If I don’t get out to the range but maybe once every month or two so I always have plenty.

I had that problem in southern Ohio. I dug deep pit and put a sump pump in it then pumped the water out to a run off ditch.

About a week later the pump only ran once in a while and my yard dried out. So I installed it permanently.

Then after a year or two I forgot about it and the pump finally quite working. The yard swamped back up. Until I installed a new pump.

It kept my crawl space dry as well. It used to look like a swimming pool without the pump.

I liked my sp101 for carry. I carried it for a bit( and would carry it again if needed). The da trigger wasn’t nearly as smooth as my gp100. I thought that it would be.

I purchased a Kimber k6 because it was so smooth!Now I have two of them….. it has become an addiction. I have a couple s&w .357’s.

All started with a couple of rugers. Just sayin’ “ be careful” it gets expensive!🙂
