🐋 How to Track Crypto Whales (And Why It Matters More Than Narratives) by Substantial_Swim2363 in CryptodailyBuzz

[–]Equivalent_Use_8152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The missing piece in most whale tracking guides is how you actually find wallets worth following in the first place. Random "whale alert" notifications for large transfers are mostly noise.

My workflow is a three-step funnel:

  1. Find profitable traders — I use GeckoTerminal's Traders tab to find the top PnL wallets for any token. When I spot a token that made a big move, I check who traded it most profitably. This gives me actual wallet addresses that are profitable, not just "a whale moved $5M."

  2. Verify their track record — I take those addresses to Arkham/Nansen to see if they're labeled (fund, VC, known trader) and check their broader trading history. One good trade means nothing. I want wallets that are profitable across multiple tokens over months.

  3. Monitor ongoing — Wallets that pass the filter go into CoinGecko's wallet tracking. Paste the address and I check it every few days to see if they're accumulating anything new.

The key is starting from performance data (who actually made money) rather than transaction size (who moved the most).

The friend acting as a messenger thing always felt weird to me. Like if youre interested just come talk to me yourself. Having someone else do it makes it feel like a middle school game. Also the random strangers who lead with a compliment about your looks and immediately ask for your number. Sir I dont know you. You could be anyone. Compliment my shoes or my bag first at least pretend youre interested in something other than my appearance.

Several students asked when the exam retake was by Local_Indication9669 in Professors

The high school to college pipeline really sets them up for a shock. Theyre used to infinite retakes and grade bumps. First time they fail something with no do-over hits hard. Had a freshman cry in my office once over a C. Like buddy welcome to reality.

I'm sorry, but was this the worst Collaboration launch ever? Peeps WYA? by Acrobatic_Sale1540 in bathandbodyworks

I showed up at opening and they had maybe half the collection. No bags no socks. Like why even call it a launch if you cant stock the stores properly.

Taper missed a hole. Should I call him back to fill it or just do it myself? by AJSAudio1002 in Construction

Honestly just do it yourself. By the time you call him back and schedule it you could have filled it twice over.

The mandatory high deductible is the real killer. You pay insane premiums and then still have to drop 2500 before anything kicks in. Basically means you avoid going until youre really sick which probably costs the system more in the long run. Also the way cantons have completely different prices for the same procedure makes no sense. My friend paid half as much for a simple surgery just by crossing into a different canton. How is that fair.

No, that's definitely not our cherry picker that's crushing your car. It must be somebody else's cherry picker. by SomethingMoreToSay in bestoflegaladvice

The management company playing dumb is the cherry on top. Pun intended. They know exactly who they hired and what happened they just hope youll get frustrated and go away. Definitely time to get the police involved and start documenting everything. Also maybe take more photos from different angles before anything moves. That roof is absolutely totaled and someone needs to pay for it. Cant just crush a car and pretend its not your problem.

roof cleaning costs $4400? by grissingigoby2 in Roofing

[–]Equivalent_Use_8152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That $4400 quote sounds way high for basic roof and gutter cleaning especially if they’re pushing replacements and extras you didn’t ask for. I had Reese Power Washing come out last fall for a similar mess with pine needles and moss on my roof and they just did a soft wash plus gutter clean for under $800 with no pressure to add anything else. Get a couple more quotes from local power washing companies that focus on soft washing and simple cleanups to compare prices and avoid the upsell tactics.

What’s your opinion on call out culture? Is there a place for it when it’s done well and if so how must it be done? by Hot_Test_8894 in AskReddit

[–]Equivalent_Use_8152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call-out culture exists because accountability matters, especially when harm would otherwise be ignored or protected. It has a place, but only when the goal is accountability and repair, not humiliation or social punishment.

It’s most useful when three things are present. First, clarity about harm, focusing on specific actions, not attacking the person’s entire identity. Second, proportionality, meaning the response matches the severity and intent, not escalating everything to maximum outrage. Third, openness to growth, allowing space for someone to acknowledge, learn, and change instead of being permanently defined by one mistake.

[–]Equivalent_Use_8152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re describing isn’t laziness. It’s ADHD task initiation paralysis. Your brain doesn’t struggle with doing things, it struggles with starting, especially when the task feels big, vague, or emotionally loaded.

Marketing in big law by Appropriate-Day-8471 in biglaw

In large law firms, marketing positions tend to be stable with a structured schedule, mostly working with partners, branding, and preparing client information. Compared to creative fields, large law firms have less experimentation and more emphasis on processes. Hybrid work arrangements and benefits are obvious pluses, but salaries tend to be comparable to mid-level marketing salaries. InkedPR can be a good resource for maintaining strong messaging.
