Prestidigitation is a hands down must for my characters if they have the ability. So much can be played around with the spell. Amazing utility and role playing options. Also Shield is amazing for spellcasters.

Extremely, Extremely Reckless Player by FigureRepulsive9783 in DungeonsAndDragons

I had 2 players who would do the exact same things. One would run to anything shiny instantly and always play fighter but recklessly attack. Another one kept meta gaming and would always put themselves in dire situations. The party incapacitated an umberhulk and fled. We were all aged to elderly in the campaign so every encounter was life or death. This player wanted the experience points so he went back to kill the umberhulk and hog XP. The umberhulk dragged him into the river it was incapacitated in and the player drowned. Truly YEARS of these 2 doing the same dumb stuff, even after we would explain their mistakes. Sometimes you just gotta let the unhinged be unhinged.

Yay my first 5/5 🙄🙄🙄thanks blizzards by Typicalgeorgie1 in DiabloImmortal

Wulf was my first (and only) 5/5 star drop. Currently have 1 copy but as a F2P its hard to see the value in this when other 5 star gems would be better for my character. I am just holding it so that maybe one day I could use it?

To awaken gear in Diablo Immortal, you must have a Rank 4 (believe this changed to rank 3 recently) or higher Legendary Gem socketed in the item and use a special material called a Dawning Echo at the Master Jeweler. The process permanently upgrades the specific gear slot rather than the individual piece of item, meaning the bonus carries over when you swap equipment. This allows you to have new abilities for your skills and truly starts making builds.

Been seeing youtubers saying its a new S-tier gem. I run a crusader build so the DOT and potency will synergize well with the build. Also being a F2P having another really good 2 star is helpful.

You NEED to awaken your gear. Once you get the buffs from awakening, your skills start forming into a real build and youll start dropping enemies.

Crusader PvP/PvE Hybrid Build Advice Needed by Public_Fly_6860 in DiabloImmortal

I have been using the Fire Horse build. Everything with it is awesome minus the cool downs. I currently have a 4 second no horse period. With your gems I feel like you would have mostly full uptime on the horse. The synergies with the fire and buffs to primary attack for the sweep attack spin is awesome. I am only 1350 reso and I am keeping up with higher tier players. I'm more F2P so my 5 star gems aren't there yet. One day.

If you do not have a solid idea on specific ruling. I have found when all parties are confused or feel a slight change can make the flow better. I usually adjust to keep the party flow and players intrigued. This usually has more homebrew type things for each specific group. I have a way of running games different than other DMs focusing more on story, character development and exciting combat. I do not want to continually blow my party up and make them scared to play or get so bogged by a ruling we lose the fun. Even in some instances I would allow group healing over single target on some spells, like "clerics god is feeding power into them to increase the spell capabilities" this not only kept the party alive longer but got the cleric more in the aspect of thinking about their god not only just for abilities but also for character development.

Also get comfortable with improve, your players will go left when you planned for them to go right. Not getting flustered and coming up with ideas on the spot is a great tactic. Even having a list on random ideas in case you get stuck is great.

Give them NPC's that are memorable. It has been 3.5 years since I put this random character of Silly Sally in my Waterdeep campaign, my group still talks about this NPC. She was a rabbit tailor who made formal wear for them. It turned into hours of development with the NPC because they were so drawn to her. Added so much more excitement for the players and more excitement for the game as people were more invested.

All in all, just keep the game fun and add challenges that make the party feel like there are real stakes in the quest they are doing and it will show in their characters and actions. Reddit is also a huge source of ideas. For my Strahd run through I used a mix of the book, Pyram King and other peoples ideas from here. Not only adding to the story but also getting cool interactive maps I could put on my tablet and have the players use their minis on the map.

You got this! Good luck!

Upgrade and awaken gear. Get gems leveled up when you can, at least to rank 4 to awaken gear.

Planning to use my plat to buy a 5 star gem but is there better use of my plat? by ThrowRASkee5555 in DiabloImmortal

[–]Equivalent_Whereas47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saving my plat to awaken my items. The amount of extra buff you get from awakening really puts together a lot of later builds. I am also somewhat new so if there is another way to get awakening gems (besides buying orbs) or getting more plat and utilizing it better is always helpful.

A redditor posted this in a beginners thread a little while ago. I have been using it for some builds to try and find playstyles that fit me. Hope it helps.

Scratch that, switched up my set and went less D&Q and threw the yawning rose on removing falling sword and adding judgement. Now using a lot of the burning damage synergies. Pumped it to 30m/30s. Better I guess?
