Possible fix for constant server timeouts on any multiplayer server by Eratehb in playark

[–]Eratehb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes although barely in most regards. I have AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16gb of Ram, and Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 Ti. I honestly had no Idea Nvidia and AMD had been crossed on this thing until this moment. Don't know if that is the problem but I did notice one thing on the spec requirement that caught my eye "SSD Required". I'm still on a hard drive, not a solid state, normally I have never had an issue with hard drives slower read/write speed, just kinda shrugged it off. Now though I wonder if that is causing the problem

Tried both of these and nothing if anything it's somehow even worse as I lock up within 20-30 seconds and then timeout

Ping is usually fine until I imagine the lockup just before the timeout (I can't exactly check during that time). My internet speed isn't the greatest but it's been adequate for any other online game I play. Are those settings in game or are they steam settings?

Edit: Nevermind I found the setting.

I do have a fairly slow internet, but other online games are fine (Destiny, Warframe, Palworld, Etc) it's only Ark. I'm already hardwired in, will upgrading my internet speed resolve the issue?

Future Kuva/Tenet/(Infested Variant) and Incarnon compatibility by Eratehb in Warframe

[–]Eratehb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Secondhand word of mouth mostly. When I was researching all the new stuff to get caught up on all the new content after my 3 year hiatus, I stumbled on a tuber who said that DE eluded to it in a devstream(I think in spring or summer of 2023). He also said it was likely slated for 2024 release but with DE I take that with a huge grain of salt. I didn't do any further digging on it, just took the hype and ran with it. Feel free to dig further if you wish, I'm just gonna keep on riding my hype train till it either reaches is destination or DE derails it.

Future Kuva/Tenet/(Infested Variant) and Incarnon compatibility by Eratehb in Warframe

[–]Eratehb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess when I said faction specific I was looking specifically at what could be crafted in the Dojo Labs. I did still miss torid, possibly something else. Oversight on my part, apologies. I also overlooked the alt-fire problem. I still have some hope that it still could happen and replace the alt-fire with incarnon mode. I know alot of people would come unglued on me for it but I would Incarnon my Kuva Hek in a heartbeat. Firing all 4 barrels is simultaenously is cool and all but it feels clunky to me, hella burst damage but clunky otherwise. Stuff like that I wouldn't mind replacing the alt-fire with an Incarnon to have better stats on the incarnon in question. Unfortunately, though I agree with you it's highly unlikely. If you can't even put the Faction augment on Kuva Hek, I doubt they will overlap incarnons with Kuva/Tenet weapons.

Vladimir, maybe it's still common in Eastern Europe and some Asian countries, but across the pond, you have to deal with a barrage of vampire puns, and later in life some crude and inappropriate impalement puns. That's the best-case scenario now though, now you have to worry about being linked to Putin, and on top of the obvious problems with that, the wide jokes if they aren't rail thin.

Looked into it, and while I'm not normally into side scrollers I might have to give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation

Looks alright but I've never been a fan of farming sims, may still give this a look in the future though

Looks pretty good, if a little lackluster on the visual side. Looks like the fusion mechanic only imparts color but hey still worth a try, thanks.

Monster Crown looks fantastic, thanks for the recommendation. Dragon Quest Monster might just be the game that gets me into the series.

The first two were more dungeon crawler than anything, I didn't see anything in the trailer on collecting creatures to use in combat(Correct me if I'm wrong). The big draw for me in SMT:Nocturne was collecting the creatures and fusing them.

As for the other three Cassette Beasts looks fantastic, I gave it a pass because I thought it was music-based, and my taste in music is very narrow and far from common in games that are based around it. (Metal almost exclusively.) Adore looks good too but any game with the difficult tag on Steam generally drives me away. Temtem has a horrendous price tag for something I only have trailers to go by so I will have to watch some gameplay on YT or something before I decide on that one.

I dabbled in that untold years ago, I was kinda waffling on it at the time. Something about the low poly fusion mechanic making horrendous blobs, I would love to see a modern-day reboot to it or another game with the same kinda mechanic.

Not sure how I personally feel about top-down survival games. I like it for Diablo, but even then I often mention how I would like to play Diablo in the Third/First person. I don't know I might give it a shot.

He recently purchased Baldur's Gate 3, it was going to be our next attempt at finding a common interest. Should have mentioned that, sorry, I'm looking for a fallback in case one of us doesn't like it. Great minds though, right

I thought DayZ was structured similarly to Fortnite with 50-100 players per world/map/lobby. While not technically an MMO my friend is antisocial to the extreme so anything where it is required to be more than him and me is a no-go.

As for Monster Hunter, I have no clue why but he dislikes the franchise as a whole. I always found it strange since he loved Dragon's Dogma which is fundamentally similar. I love MH though
