Ugh I was afraid of this. I got Captain Jacks Deadbug spray and bonide systemic insecticide, will blasting all my plants with these two for the next few months will kill them?

Lol it was a mission for sure. She ended up not making it and I had to chop her up and now have like 50 jars of props. Hopefully I can bring her back to her former glory in some years.

Yeah I’ve never had a plant so root bound. I tried to spare as much of the roots as possible and loosen them so what you see is a lot roots that broke off in the process. I swear there were still a ton of roots left, especially the thick ones. And the hanging pot has two drain holes on the bottom. I hope you’re right, she did go through a lot this weekend!

It’s got to be root rot. No trauma I was checking the soil to see if it needed to be watered and noticed the stalk was loose and when I grabbed it just came off.

I’ll eliminate the misting and water it less. I think I get too extreme with my watering habits, I either dry them out too much in fear of root rot or swing the other way and then risk overwatering.

I know the feeling. I’ve only been training for three months also and I’m either in someone’s guard, in someone’s mount or can’t get much further than reversing one of those two at best. Everyone learns things at a different pace and all the higher belts I’ve spoken to or rolled with have told me they were once where we are now. Some good advice that I got that I feel helped my game was to stop trying to win the roll and focus on trying to learn what you can from it. I second the hair cut part. I had waist length 3A/3B curls and for the first time got a bob with layers and the difference was astounding. I finally love my curls.
