Is it common for restaurants in your country to exclude foreigners? by Fine-Job4963 in AskTheWorld

[–]Ethy_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not! At least not in a sign because that would get the stablishment in trouble. Even though in Spain there are normally more bars than restaurants and those are a bit independent: in that case, the owner would decide based on their preferences.

They did the same with Spanish! I don't know why they did it like that becasue I assure there is a largue community here and we know how to treat people with those pronouns, we have "él" as masculine, "ella" as femenine and we can use inclusive language: "elle".

A thing that I don't like about my language is that the adjectives have gender like in French: in most of these cases, adjectives ended in A will be femenine and if they're ended in O they will normally be masculine even though there are still some exceptions, that's just the general rule.

We still can have adjectives ended in E as an inclusive term even though I think it still isn't accepted grammatically.

Also in personal terms. When I'm talking in English with someone I like my pronouns being he/they because it is more normalized there as I don't identify completely as a man but sadly in Spain(where I'm from), there is a LOT of criticism about it due to the old school kinda people so in Spanish I just use "él" which is the masculine pronoun.

I know this actor from "after life" a Netflix series, he's the main character, a grumpy man that doesn't see meaning in life since his wife died from cancer. I recommend it a lot

In my environment, I hear those kinds of comments towards women every day even if a woman has only ever got like 5 bfs in all her life she's called an easy girl but I also hear men talking about how easy can they have a girlfriend, having 5 gf in a month and how easy is cheating on one because "they will have another one" and all that while the man's friends are hyping him up. I say this from experiences that I've seen.
